Loft 523

The shower did not have enough pressure so it was hard to feel clean/get soap out. Another friend's shower had too much power and sprayed hard in multiple crazy directions. The vanity mirror light did not work in most of the rooms our friends had but it did in ours. And the lighting in the rooms is very minimal so that mirror is necessary. The street was sometimes closed off due to construction so Lyft drivers were easily confused, but sometimes it wasn't. We woke up one morning at 8 am to the sound of a jack hammer right outside the window. It didn't stop that morning but the lady at the front desk did call and make sure it didn't happen again which we very much appreciated. When we checked in, there was a water station in the lobby. It broke and they did not set up another one, but said we would need to go to the main hotel to get water. There were a lot of negatives but the rooms themselves are very large and lofty (as the name suggests). It has a TON of potential but needs better service/management.

the hot water from the tub was not working and I couldn't get my hair wet (just got it done) and steam would have ruined it so l basically had to take a bird bath w/ the bathroom sink and there was coloring on the tub like a bunch of kids wrote on it

Bed was comfortable location was decently walkable. Air conditioning was good. Room has sexy vibes - definitely aimed at couples. The value for money did not feel worth it to me. Literally everything relies on the other hotel - Check in / out, water refill station, umbrellas, the bar, if there’s something wrong with your room, etc. For the 3 days we were there, we saw 1 employee at loft 523. We asked them how long they’d be there - they said 45 min but were gone after 15. We were there during the jazz festival - this is a busy time. I’d hate to know what the off season looks like. Another example - it was raining heavily while we were there. We had to walk over to the other hotel in the rain, check out the umbrella, then return before midnight (still raining), then walk home in the rain. The main desk told us to call if we needed anything. We tried calling a few different numbers on at least 3 separate occasions - we never got through to a human. NOLA is a tourist hub - this lack of customer service/experience is unacceptable in this location at this price point.

Booked this location through air bnb. They used flat sheets instead of fitted sheets. As we were checking out, we noticed our sheet had slipped off revealing a dirty mattress. Called management 3 times to discuss the issue after leaving and they refused to call back. Paid over $300 for a room. No amenities. And check in at another location.

This Hotel was located in the heart of everything New Orleans has to offer. The service was great and very friendly. We enjoyed the nice and quiet atmosphere as we rested from our day.

Tv didnt work and the shower wasn't spraying down it was aiming for the walls and ceiling. No curtains to block the sun light and the noise was overwhelming in the morning with delivery trucks and garbage trucks workers passing by

Pay the same or less and stay somewhere nicer. First. the room I booked was NOT what was pictured Looked nothing like it. Every room advertises a pic of a big bathtub in their listina but ours didn't come with one even though that was the main reason I booked it. The bathroom was pretty gross. It had this gross black stuff all over the mirrors. Half the towels were stained. And the shower head was trash. It also takes forever to get hot water. The room has a mini fridge but no microwave. The floors are broken concrete. You can't roll the window shades to look out which is fine because the "city view" is an alley with a dumpster. The mattress was hard as a rock. The tiny tv thev have in the rooms are one the side of the bed instead of in front of it. Literally the ONLY good thing were the pillows. They were fluffy. I tried reaching out to staff 3 times during our 2 night stay and got nothing. And there's no staff there the majority of the time so no one to speak to directly. I was so excited for our stay based off the pictures but prettv much all of it were pictures of their mair hotel. This hotel is the side chick /areat value version of the main hotel. It was also advertised that you get $130 in tour credits with your reservation and that's not true. We never received anything and when I reached out about it all I got was crickets. Me and my husband were so disappointed. We love visiting New Orleans & this trip was to celebrate our anniversary so it was a huge let down.
