I read a few bad reviews about this hotel but went for it anyway. My experience was nothing but pleasant. Clean rooms, staff was amazing a very helpful. And the manager even gave us free valet parking. Latoya at the front desk is a BOSS. She handled mine and others customers needs attentively, with great patience, hospitality, and professionalism. The 3rd block restaurant offered great food with awesome service. Beautiful courtyard and an easy walk to everything. Great stay. Would definitely recommend The W to all fellow travelers. Can’t wait to come back for another stay!

I enjoyed my stay at the W. The property is beautiful and well maintained. The room was great and I loved having a private balcony. The service was impeccable, prompt and courteous .

It’s my first time in NOLA and I’m staying at the W New Orleans with my family. The hotel staff are so nice and informative. Latoya C. delved into the history of NOLA and she also suggested the best places to be! My family and I are having a great experience here!

It’s our first time visiting NOLA and the staff at the W New Orleans did not disappoint. The hotel is very busy for the holiday weekend and spring break but that did not prevent our bartender, Katonya, from meeting our needs. We celebrated my son's 15th birthday on Easter Sunday and boy, we had a time! She made sure he had a memorable birthday. She brought out an extra table for the cake. She lit the candles, cut and wrapped slices in saran wrap. She even managed to capture some photos! Thanks hon, we truly appreciate you!!!

Fantastic stay. Staff were extremely helpful, especially Mark. Delicious breakfast with a great view. Our room was gorgeous with plenty to offer. This was our first time staying in NOLA and W French Quarter, and we would be happy to come again.

No latch on bathroom door. Had to put rug against door to keep from swinging inward. Kids could pull it outward. Room service not available until 7:30. Coffee from nespresso machine was not good.

The location of this hotel is very convenient without being as loud as directly on bourbon street. However, I would NOT recommend staying here. They claim on their welcome email to have completed reservations but they are still doing them on the second floor, which has led to multiple issues. Our thermostat broke the first night, when the maintenance person came up he said this “happened a lot since they are doing the work downstairs.” So slept with an open window until we could get a new room the next day. Half the lights in new room didn’t work—front desk tried to tell me I just didn’t know how to work a light switch. Once they finally came up they realized it was in fact NOT my error and they had to reset the circuit breaker. 🙄. Then while I was on the treadmill the power abruptly went off. Luckily I was in my cool down and walking, had I been running I would have been seriously injured. When I walked out they had various extension cords about and clearly this was an intentional power cut with no regard or checking on who might be in the gym. Now they have just marked the machines all broken (not broken—just power cut off…). Icing on the cake the TV remote had to be replaced as well. I wouldn’t except so many additive issues anywhere let alone a hotel Marriott categorizes as “distinctive luxury” brand.

Our stay at the W French Quarter was very comfortable. We have been coming to New Orleans for years and have stayed at various Marriott properties but never the W due to the many past reviews on the property. It seemed like the hotel was in desperate needs of renovations. The hotel is now under renovations. We got one of the newly renovated rooms and I must say they are probably Top 3 when it comes to most pleasantly aesthetics and comfortable rooms. Our room had a beautiful dark blue accent wall that really makes a great impact on the comfort of the room. The rooms are small but functional. Our stay wasnt perfect but issues were resolved by the staff quickly, which was a very friendly staff. The courtyard for the hotel is a big PLUS. Great place to lounge in peace. You are so close to the action yet the hotel is very peaceful. Elite recognition was TOP notch with full breakfast provided at the onsite restaurant and the food was very good. We would definitely stay here again. Look at our review of the property on Youtube, which shows the whole property and what the new rooms look like. Sorry forgot to take pictures of the new rooms.

Jinky and Brett at the hotel resturant were the best service we received at the hotel. They took great care of my family and I during our meals at the hotel. Overall, I’d highly recommend the restaurant with the great food and even better service we received from the two of them.
