The room didn't have a microwave and refrigerator. In addition, the cable TV in the room didn't work. The chair in the room had a large stain on it so it wasn't used and the dresser's top drawer wouldn't stay closed. For the amount of money that is being charged to stay here, a microwave and refrigerator should be in the room. The cable TV should also work, especially after the staff was informed about it 3 times. The only plus was the location, walking distance from Bourbon Street and several bars/restaurants in the area.

It was okay but I wouldn’t stay there again. Location was convenient and given the age of the building I could understand some issues. What I could not fathom was the overall lack of professionalism and service skills with most of the staff - points to a larger issue with management/pride of ownership in my opinion and the experience we had there. A shame because I wanted to love it but at least it served as a place to rest at night.

If I could give this hotel 0 stars, I would. I booked this place, despite reading the negative reviews, to support a local hotel and be close to the action. I definitely should have listened to the reviews. From the moment we arrived, I knew this place was not going to be good. The rooms are disgusting, full of cracks, dirt, stains, and bugs. Not only that, but we discovered BED BUGS. When we went to the front desk, the guy said he was “the lowest level of employee” and was also clearly out of it. They did not have ANY replacement sheets and no room we could move to. Not only that but the front desk workers were literally telling me about how horrible their hotel is. I spent a solid hour trying to find a different hotel. As I went back to the room to pack, I saw a dead cockroach on the floor in the lobby hallway. When I told the front desk guy, he walked over, flipped it over, and said “oh he’s still alive.” Would NOT recommend this place and will definitely be reporting to the board of health.

This place is great for the price....far from fancy, rooms are tiny, bathrooms very basic.....but its got lots of NOLA vibes, staff is lovely and LOCATION is what its all about. Right in the middle of it all.

They do not service rooms there at ALL. We requested that housekeeping come the first morning because the floor in the room was filthy and the bathroom wasn’t that clean either. They didn’t come. Nor did they come the second morning, or the third. No coffee replenished, no fresh towels, no cleaning at all. We spoke to two different staff members about this and sent an email to management too. Both staff members assured us that our room would be cleaned. It never was, not once in four nights there. We spoke to two other couples at the hotel and they also reported that they never got their rooms serviced either. in fact, one couple said they had had a flood in their room during a bad rainstorm and had to mop up the water themselves with towels, no one from the hotel would help them. Beyond that, the place is generally run-down, and we were given a windowless bedroom (we requested quiet, not windowless) without being informed about that during booking, that we were unable to change because the place was full. The bed had a very old mattress, mangy old sheets, and lumpy pillows. We also had the smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen, with zero storage, no holder for toilet paper, a shower gel bottle that was completely empty when we got there, and a toilet that ran on and off all night. There was a swimming pool, that looked dirty, and a hot tub that was not even lukewarm. On our last night, we demanded fresh towels so we could shower and got them, also coffee pods. The concierge on duty swore that he would bring coffee pods to our room later that night. It never happened. We checked out early the next morning. The only good thing about this place is the location. I understand that this used to be a great place to stay, but it’s one to avoid at present.

Awful. We are there now, our third day of a four-night stay. They do not service rooms there at ALL. We requested housekeeping come the first morning because the floor in the room was filthy and the bathroom wasn’t that clean either. They didn’t come. Nor did they come the second morning, or the third. No coffee replenished, no fresh towels, no cleaning at all. We spoke to two different staff members and sent an email too. Beyond that, the place is generally run-down, and we were given a windowless bedroom (we requested quiet, not windowless) without being informed about that during booking, that we were unable to change because the place was full. The bed has a very old mattress, mangy old sheets, and lumpy pillows. We have the smallest bathroom I’ve ever seen that is not in a camper. The only good thing about this place is the location. Save your money and stay absolutely anywhere else.
