The Higgins Hotel New Orleans, Curio Collection by Hilton

Very nice place to stay in New Orleans. Clean and well located with professional staff. We felt safe in the area and were close to good restaurants. Walking distance to historic downtown is 25-28 minutes. We liked it very much and will come back.

We came to New Orleans for our Anniversary trip and we new we were going to be going to the WW2 museum and my husband is a huge history buff so we decided to stay at the Higgins Hotel and wow we were blown away with the beauty, the care they use, the history spread all around the hotel, the cafe normandy was wonderful and the coffee shop made wonderful latte's! We were so happy with the hotel we would most definitely stay here again. And when you are here YOU HAVE to go to Rose's roof top bar at night....the beautiful view of the city is so peaceful and just a wonderful place to rest after a day of exploring the wonder of New Orleans.

My nephew and I were in NOLA to visit the WW11 museum. It was so convenient to stay across the street in a lovely hotel that carried this theme in decor. The room we stayed in worked out perfectly for us with the hide a bed in the living room area. We were very comfortable and the room was immaculate. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and the food was delicious. We had two dinners in the rooftop Rosie’s which were also good. It would have been nice to see more variety on the upstairs menu in the way of non traditional LA fare. The restaurant downstairs offered gluten free bread but that wasn’t an option upstairs. Very polite service everywhere. Highly recommend.

Great hotel. Easy check in. Clean room. Perfect for WWII Museum. But avoid the st Charles streetcar. We had to hit the floor due to gunshots right at Lee Circle, now called Harmony Circle after the wokes removed Lee’s statue. New Orleans is a dangerous city.

Very loud hvac system in room, made sleeping difficult. Breakfast and lunch menu limited, hotel dining room closed for dinner, are you serious. After visiting WW11 museum directly across the street from hotel we had to go elsewhere for dinner when hotel has restaurant. A real deal breaker. Won’t be back.

My husband and I just stayed at the Higgins for our 25th wedding anniversary. I was really disappointed with the experience. I was a Hilton Diamond member when I made the reservations for my trip. I became a member from living in a Hilton hotel for a few months and earning a significant amount of points. When I booked my room, I was told that if I get a standard King, I could get a free upgrade to a nicer room which is what I wanted since it was our anniversary. Well last year I didn't use enough points so 6 days before our trip, I was reduced to "silver". I wasn't concerned because my reservation was made under my diamond status. Well I called to upgrade my room as directed only to be told that it would be $550.00 additional per night because I was reduced to silver. After I explained everything, I was told...."well your silver now" so this is what you'll have to pay. I was shocked!!!!! I called Hiltonhonors and was told that the hotel had the ability to upgrade our room. All the planning, I spoke to 3 people about my reservations...smh. I was told that there would be a complimentary fruit basket upon our arrival...."not". I was told that my husband and I would be able to use $15 per day each for food and I was charged....One disaster after the next. I did get the basket 3 days later thanks to a very kind concierge. I'm sure the reviews reflect great experiences which is why I chose this hotel....but my experience was very disappointing. I think that there could have been more compassion. There was nothing for the hotel to lose, but my 25th Anniversary is over. Thanks alot!!
