Marsh Hotel

This place is very hollow and loud. It's very close quarters and no sound proofing. You can hear everyone's TV in the hall amd your room, people screaming on the phone, doors slamming, people getting ice on another floor, people outside on the nice patio, water took forever in sink to go down, black blanket they give you was so nasty, looked like snot or semen smeared on it. Hair was everywhere. I say this with the understanding that hair is harder to get up. It was In our bed, everywhere in shower. I know you can't say no children but this is not a place for small kids to run around and talk in hallways bc everything can be hear so clearly. No proofing or weather*****ping under doors so there is a huge gap. Of maybe 1.5 inches under the doors that doesn't help the sound. Cute place, in a sketchy up and coming neighborhood. They have street parking only which was plentiful and said there was security roving through neighborhood. Never saw them but our cars were fine. Good idea for a small neighborhood hostel/hotel. Decor was simple and so cute throughout and it comes with a MW and fridge. The attached coffee and bar was nice.

When I come back to New Orleans, this is the only place I'd want to stay! The hotel was clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and it took us no time to get into the city proper. If you are ever overwhelmed by the city, there are plenty of places to hang out and relax at the Marsh.

Interesting boutique hotel in a neighborhood due for a complete make over. Relaxing with a welcome complimentary adult beverage. Good friendly service. Room was tiny, clean & comfy w/2 bottle water. Bar/Coffee was convenient, late hours. Coffee & danish in the AM was tasty. Street parking only. Btw, beware of all the pot holes in the streets nearby, drive slow.

I stayed at the Marsh Hotel for a weekend to visit my Tulane student. I don’t care to stay downtown and the options are very limited uptown and very pricey. I’m so happy to have found this spot, planning to stay again next month. It was thoughtful and aesthetic. The coffee shop/bar was great and the outdoor seating area was a nice place to sit and relax a little. The room had many helpful amenities. Location was great, easy walk to St Charles to hop on streetcar or to restaurants and shops on Magazine. Very pleased which this place- will be my new go-to.

Check in was a little difficult due to a severe storm. They were very responsive to that. The facility is new. The room was a bit small and I stubbed my toes on the bed frame several times. It was nice having the coffee and regular bar on site. The staff was great.

This was a great find! A hidden gem in the garden district! I highly recommend you stay here!

It was a very nice place newly renovated and clean but it takes a while for the water to get warm and there is one night that the ceiling was leaking and the receptionist was very prompt on fixing it the same day. All in all I would recommend it and I’m going to stay again at the same hotel when I’m visiting at New Orleans. The receptionist was very helpful and friendly
