My stay at the Hyatt Grand Central New York was unfortunately below expectations, especially considering the brand. For the price paid, the overall experience felt overpriced for what it actually offers. The rooms and services were adequate, but nothing stood out as truly deserving of the high rates. It was disappointing, particularly because from a Hyatt property one expects a higher level of comfort, attention to detail, and overall quality. While the location is convenient, the value for money simply wasn’t there. In short, a decent hotel, but far too expensive for the experience provided, and not up to the standard one would normally associate with Hyatt.

The location was really good. It was right next to the Grand Central and there were a lot of places to eat nearby too. Services were good and the breakfast and bar was nice and comfortable.

This is a well-located 3.5 star hotel next to Grand Central station. Note that they charge a high "resort fee" and you can use 15USD at their overpriced shop to buy food/snacks/drinks, and this is quite a novel way for the hotel to make you pay more for your stay at the property. The hotel also charges a 100USD/night deposit on-site, so be aware of this before you book with them.

I stayed at the Westin Grand Central for a day and service and cleanliness was below standard, so I moved to Hyatt Grand Central for 3 nights. The location was very convenient as it’s right at the top (adjacent) to the Grand Central station. The area was full of restaurants and tourists must visit places - Summit, Empire State Building, Time Square etc. In the hotel, there was a lounge on 16/F which was a good deal especially for a family as it offered continental bfast, snacks, coffee, tea and soft drinks and its charged on a per room bases. The staff at the reception and the concierge were friendly and attentive with the usual Hyatt experiences. I will return in my next visit.

The hotel was great location and it was missing the greeting filling when you get introduced to the reception.
The guy at the entrance was very helpful when asked for directions and possibly place to go in the city.
The room was a good size but the knocking noise from the plumbing in the bathroom was absolutely awful espesualy at 2am when trying to get some rest and that the hot and cokes were the wrong way round and the telephone handle wouldn’t stay where you want it.
For a hotel at that standard I expected more and for the cost of it to.
