InterContinental Hotels NEW YORK TIMES SQUARE by IHG

I've stayed here many times. It's near Times Square, and the rooms are much larger than other hotels in the area. In New York, for this price and location, you usually only get about 20 square meters, but this room is around 45 square meters. It's a double queen room with two 1.3-meter beds, offering excellent value for money! The hotel doesn't provide free water, but it's very conveniently located for transportation. There's also a bar on the ground floor that's always packed.

The room was just okay, and the front desk staff's attitude was pretty bad. They tried to overcharge me after check-out, making up false claims about using their facilities without any evidence. I had to waste a lot of time repeatedly complaining to the platform and my bank to get the incorrect charges reversed!

Although it's quite expensive, the location is incredibly convenient. The subway is just 50 meters away, and Times Square is a 5-minute walk. There are plenty of small eateries and a supermarket nearby.

The hotel's location is great, but the facilities are quite old. It takes about 10 minutes for the hot water to kick in after running the cold. The hairdryer was broken and needed to be replaced. Basically, the location is the only good thing about it; there's not much else.

The service was absolutely terrible! I'd seen reviews before saying this place was unfriendly to Chinese guests, but I didn't pay much attention until now. I asked the front desk for slippers, and when the server came up, my mother opened the door, and he just threw them onto the floor inside the room and disappeared! I only found out about it later and immediately went to the front desk to complain. I'm avoiding all InterContinental hotels from now on.

Right in the heart of downtown NYC, super convenient for visiting several landmarks. The room was clean, though a bit dated. Overall, it was decent and offered good value for money at this price point.

Beyond its proximity to Times Square, the experience was honestly pretty mediocre. The initial room we were given faced the street and was extremely loud, with the constant roar of traffic and revving engines late into the night. We were moved to a room on the seventh floor, which overlooked a mechanical floor and also generated continuous noise. Frankly, in Manhattan, I wouldn't recommend staying near Times Square. It's simply too crowded with tourists, dirty, chaotic, and loud, unless seeing Broadway shows is your absolute priority. There's a mandatory $40 daily 'resort fee,' but it offers no amenities or services to justify the cost. The only 'perk' we found was being able to claim two pieces of fruit from the downstairs bar each day.
