Arrived at the hotel at 3 PM, only to be told check-in wasn't until after 4 PM. We waited by the front desk the whole time. At 4 PM, I went up to the front desk, and they casually said, 'Oh, a room is ready.' They only gave me one room card. When I asked for another, they said there weren't any, and if I wanted one, I'd have to wait, with no idea how long. I booked a 40-square-meter 'Skyline View' room, but they gave me one on the 9th floor. I understood 'skyline view' to mean above the 20th floor, and Ctrip customer service agreed with my interpretation. Ctrip's attempts to communicate with the hotel were fruitless. Two minutes after entering the room, two maintenance workers carrying ladders knocked on our door, asking if we had called for repairs. I said no, and they just said 'Sorry' and left. Five minutes later, I discovered the air conditioning was broken. This means the hotel assigned me room 915 knowing the AC was faulty and not yet fixed! I went downstairs and asked the front desk, 'Didn't you know the AC in that room was broken?' Of course, they denied everything. When I left the room, I specifically put up the 'Do Not Disturb' sign. Without my permission, maintenance workers entered the room to fix the AC and even used the toilet, because I had laid down a toilet seat cover! After dinner, we returned to the hotel and saw a note on the AC saying it was fixed. I was surprised because I had wasted so much time with check-in issues and hadn't really checked Ctrip since leaving the hotel. Ctrip customer service kept asking if they could enter the room for repairs if I wasn't there. At that point, I thought if it was fixed, unauthorized entry or not, it didn't matter much. However, a few minutes after we entered the room at 9 PM, the AC stopped working again. I called the female front desk staff, and she said she'd send someone right away. It was 34 degrees Celsius in New York that day. I called twice to follow up, explaining that my adults and children were waiting to wash up and go to bed. A male front desk staff member answered. Finally, someone arrived an hour later at 10 PM. After fixing it, he guaranteed it wouldn't break down again tonight! Around 11 PM, the room phone rang, asking if the AC was working normally. It was at that moment, so to avoid being disturbed, I unplugged the phone. But about half an hour later, a maintenance worker carrying a ladder knocked on the door – it was almost midnight! He said the female front desk staff had sent him to fix the AC, meaning she had only notified maintenance two or three hours later! It was the same female front desk staff who checked us in and allowed maintenance to enter our room without permission! Soon after, the AC completely broke down, leaking water all night, as shown in the video – my shoes were soaked! The room had no AC but felt like it was raining all night! After this, I repeatedly asked for a room change! The hotel replied they had no rooms! They offered either a room on the third floor or a 26-square-meter room upstairs! I don't understand how the hotel has the audacity to treat guests this way! When there's a problem with a room, shouldn't it be an upgrade, not a downgrade, which they justified with confidence! I said the lower floor would be too noisy, and I had booked a skyline view. The 26-square-meter room on a higher floor was too small. The hotel responded, 'If you think it's too small, you can pay for another 26-square-meter room!' I demanded compensation and a refund for last night's stay. After multiple discussions with Ctrip, the compensation increased from 300 RMB to 500, then 1000, which I was very dissatisfied with. In New York, that's not even enough for a small family meal! For the last two days, we were forced to stay on the third floor in room 315. On the last night, there was a strong wind, and two flagpoles on either side of the room clanged all night long, sometimes accompanied by roaring motorcycles and various alarm vehicles from downstairs! How should we be compensated for all the time wasted for my family and the several nights of disturbed sleep for everyone? How do we get compensated for having to wear wet shoes when we went out the next day!!! This is an absolutely terrible, rotten hotel!!! #CourtyardbyMarriottNYC #CourtyardHotel

The front desk staff were very friendly, and the hotel was quite clean. However, the room was smaller than expected. Choosing a room with a view allowed us to see the Empire State Building, which was nice. The area around the hotel felt relatively safe, and there weren't many homeless people around at night. It's also very close to the subway entrance.

The front desk staff were very nice; even though I didn't tip, they assigned me a high-floor room with an amazing night view. The room was a bit small, but the location was convenient. It's about a 10-minute walk to the Hudson River and not far from the subway station either.

The room facing the street had construction noise late at night. I really don't understand how there could be workers hammering away in the middle of the night in America. I added breakfast, which was just one drink (orange juice or coffee) and an American breakfast set at the cafe on the first basement floor. Personally, I think ordering it yourself would cost the same, so there's no need to be tied to it. I ate there for two days and barely saw anyone else eating. The hotel is right by Hudson Yards, and very close to The Edge. You can walk down to Pier 84 for the 'Beast' speed boat and Lady Liberty cruises. The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum is also nearby. It's about a kilometer to Macy's and Penn Station, so the location is pretty good!

The hotel is quiet and offers great views of the New York skyline. It's super convenient, right next to the train station, making it easy to get to Times Square and Wall Street. The front desk service was a bit average; you have to be assertive to get what you need.

One of the most comfortable and best-value hotels I've stayed at in New York. The room wasn't huge, but it was overall comfortable and clean, with fresh and hygienic bedding. They also offer luggage storage. The only downside was that the shower gel wasn't refilled in time, which was a bit inconvenient, possibly due to an oversight by the staff.

Very clean, and the front desk staff were friendly. The location is convenient for both the environment and transportation. Our room was on a high floor, offering amazing views – New York is so brightly lit, day and night! The hotel is also very close to Times Square, just a 15-minute walk away.

The location is excellent, very close to the High Line and Times Square. The surrounding area is quiet and safe, giving it a 'calm in the midst of the bustle' feel. It's also very convenient to get to Whole Foods.
