31 Street Broadway Hotel

Location is great, the rooms are tight, toilets clean. Its a deal for this price point just temper your overall expectations to what has been presented. Basically it works!

No housekeeping all days. The people cleaning the bathrooms and the other places with the same tools which is ridiculous. Checking out should be around 12 as other places. but in this hotel, 10:30 am and they ask you to leave 10:00 am and they will charge you late fee if you are late by only 5 minutes

My partner Tina and I wanted to see NY in December 25 and due to the location and the fairly high accommodation prices we decided to stay at this hotel where the price was quite solid. We paid in advance and when we arrived at the hotel we were "ordered" to pay a deposit, which would be returned after departure. Since I didn't think it was unusual at the time, I agreed and gave the clerk my bank card. When he wanted to withdraw a deposit of $175 for 4 nights, the cash machine didn't work. He tried another one and it didn't work either. Since it didn't work, he said he wouldn't give me the key unless I paid the deposit and since the card didn't work, I should pay with cash, which I found quite strange, because my card had always worked until then and it also worked when I then withdrew cash from the ATM. I gave the cesh $175 in cash and when he looked at my booking, a problem arose. Since we were leaving on Sunday, there was supposedly no one there to give us our money back when we left??? Which seemed quite strange to me, because I had slept in 1000 hotels before and I also work in tourism and nothing like this had ever happened to me. But since I had a long flight from the EU, I wanted to get some sleep and I agreed to it. The clerk told me to talk to the owner Eliza about it, which I did in the following days. When I spoke to her and showed her the payment receipt, she told me that it was very difficult to give her the money back because I hadn't left the room yet (it was 1 day before departure) and that she guaranteed me based on the statement I showed her that the money would be transferred back later, as soon as the room was inspected after my departure and was okay. Well, none of that happened. It's been 16 days now and the owner even told me through Airbnb where I made the reservation that I received the payment ??? So she's a regular liar and deceiver and maybe they even have a well-developed model to steal money from guests. I've filed a case with Airbnb and I'll see how it gets resolved. Otherwise, the room I stayed in was suitable for a 2-star hotel (hole). Shared showers and toilets in the hallway, which means that there is 1 toilet for the entire floor for men and immediately 20 cm next to the 2 showers, one urinal and a funnel -- terrible Only the location is great, everything else -1 As a warning to new guests if you are in a similar situation or hotel, avoid the big bow, especially the host Eliza because she lies and deceives. Very, very bad service and business. Booked a 4 pers bedroom just to get a 3pers one, to call the manager you must pay 175$ all that just to be called a liar and pay either 700$ more just to be in the 3pers bedroom or pay 1200$ to get a 4pers one. So just stay away from this hôtel

Everything around this facility is great even an homeless is great but the property which goes under the guise of Hotel is not a hotel at all, its scam hostel or collection of multiple receptions operating with zero refund policy and an ego problem of epic proportions. Look the game that I could understand was this facility offers a quick access to beds in new york vicinity alongside to different places and 3 min walk from Empire state building that line is the actual gimmick, look when you in New York you hardly need rides when you have subways and everything around walking distance, the place has 6 Receptions zero value, everyone hustling their own clients or scamming, we were visited by Lord Bugs and When we reported to the host of mine which was not among those 6 receptions in the hostel building, She insulted shouted exact words get use to it and gave credentials of Top Bug contractor of the city took care of the building and you all know the state of new york and bugs go hand in hand. And then very conveniently day later someone went through my stuff and luggage when we were not in the room luckily, how do I know it because I found 2 laundry cards in the room one in the bag and one under the bed. Now you would say you should have report it but to whom apparently all of those receptions downstairs total six mind me and none of it was my host’s And on top of it my 9 month baby got extreme rashes from a bug bites I spent 3000 dollars on this sheet. Wish hd Spent elsewhere

Very New York style. Not big but enough space for our family. Walkable to many locations for a reasonable price.
