This hotel is in urgent need of renovation! Alex Polizzi the hotel inspector would have a field day! Although the linen and overall room / bathroom cleanliness is pleasing, there are scuff marks over every wall and skirting; the actual mattresses are poor and uncomfortable. It looks like it hasn’t been redecorated since the 1980’s. Against that, it is within easy walking distance of the town centre but the hotel car park is small. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. A shout out to the chef, Ray. It is a pity, the location is great, but Best Western desperately need to redecorate before the hotel slides further into disrepair.

The reception and breakfast staff were both polite and welcoming. However the hotel is very dated and in need of some refurbishment. Scuff marks on the furniture and walls in the room were common and the single glazing meant that we barely slept due to the road traffic. There’s little or no sound proofing in the rooms so the guests partying in the room above at 2am added to the noise. A bathroom door, albeit locked, faced on to the corridor and it would be easy to have a conversation with other guests in the corridor. The furnishings in the room were very dated and sparse.

Love the deincourt its our home away from home once or twice a year travelling from Australia Staff cant do enough for you meals are consistently good Rooms warm and very clean Really go out of their way to help with anything you need washing directions etc

Lovely staff in the bar and at reception. Food top notch. Room spacious and clean. Couldn’t ask for more for a weekend stopover in Newark. This hotel is situated right in town so walking distance to all shops and bars. Will definitely be back, thank you Deincourt Team!

Breakfast came 30minutes later than I booked it.
Free parking is good
Easy to get to.
Property need extensive update to fixtures and fittings. Very dated.
Alright for work lads staying over but that’s about it

Very poor hotel. University dormitory I was leaving in 20 years ago was about the same standard with the difference that it was £90 for a month, not for a day. Very noisy, flushing toilet waking you at 5am, I could hear phone ringing in the reception. Room number 2 is about 6sq meters. It is claustrophobic. I consider staying in this hotel as one of the life experience that changes you forever. Luckily I was there for two nights. Never again!
