No.31 Castle Gate

Bed was great for sex I absolutely smashed my girlfriend all over the room but sadly when I was having a shower, the handle fell off and also the door nob to the hallway/room was already broken off. The radiator was on some weird timer. (Couldn’t find the thermostat) microwave and kettle were sound and also the plates and cutlery were also clean. There was also one corner piece of rubbish which wasn’t mine.

Our room had a room that overlooked barbed wire, had cobwebs on all of the windows, had windows that did not open and no air conditioning, but one working fan. On top of all of that we had to let ourselves into our room with a key code that was not working. The stairs to our room would not meet building code in many localities. This is a never again location.

Fantastic location and beautiful clean room. Beds were so comfortable and had some amenities that made life easier with kids. Doors open by keypads which is lovely. Across the road from Newark castle and a nice park. I texted Daniel on our last day and asked for late checkout and he responded quickly and didn’t mind at all and was super nice.

Everything was as it looked in the pictures, beautifully presented and clean. Parking was a bit of an inconvenience but the location of this apartment was so convenient for the wedding we attended, as well as being super close to all the food spots and tourist attractions. The only complaint we had was that the mattress was just awful, and there was no headboard which affected our sleep/overall stay. My mum also stayed on the floor below at the same time as us also had a terribly uncomfortable mattress. Road/street noise was also very noticeable.

Lovely place to stay and very central to Newark town centre and the castle. We got an upgrade to one of the suites which was perfect as it had a microwave, kettle and toaster as well as a fridge. We were also provided with a high tech fan so we could keep cool in the heat wave! The bed was super comfy and everything was super clean. They even arranged a travel cot for us so our little boy had somewhere safe to sleep whilst we stayed there.

Amazing location, great apartment/suite. It is on main road so some noise but this waw expected when we saw it on maps. Could do with a more comfortable matress on main bed, and aal better clean but we would go back in a heartbeat.

Room was OK, nicely decorated and homely. With the room being right on the level as the main road there is constant traffic noise. The corridors also project any noise into the room so there was never any chance of not being disturbed by other guests. Parking in a nightmare with the only available free parking locally being on the side of the road in parking bays.

Very well situated and equipped with a comfortable bed and a spacious room and good facilities. Good value for money. Parking easily available near by. Our room was on the second floor so there was a good number of stairs to negotiate. No opening windows so no air in the room by morning.
