Wonderful venue. The team was brilliant and showed us around the manor house and extensive grounds when we arrived. We also enjoyed a good 40 min wellness walk though the nearby woodlands. The newly built Escape Room was great fun and exciting, perfect for a corporate event and we all loved it. Lunch was excellent, we would highly recommend this venue.

This is a difficult one. Looking on the website, it looked absolutely beautiful, and it does when we arrived, but was shunted to the back of the building into a room which was so small the bed was up against a wall and was the same size as my room at Uni. What a letdown! Breakfast was also not good. No greeting at all, room number! We were told to sit at a table with others and not shown where the food was, coffee. If we had any dietary requirements, we had to find them. On the other side, there was a conference on and people had name badges and obviously met the night before and new the routine and if you were a single person the room would be fine, not for a weekend night away. So if you go to a conference there, amazing, but for a couple who wanted to experience the place , DON'T GO!!

I left my computer charger plugged in the wall socket next to the bed, I called within 2hrs of checking out to notify the hotel that i had done this but even having had to called back the next day too they claimed (or their cleaning staff claimed) that they had not found it. I absolutely did leave it in the room, there was no way I was confused and did not. Very disappointed with the poor service of the hotel and I suspect dishonest nature of their cleaning staff.

The main building is very impressive and the site is beautiful. The rooms which are located in separate buildings are quite simple and less stylish but ok.

During the morning tea break at my conference, I got a hot drink with milk in it, I saw the catering staff pour two milks together and assumed that they wouldn’t be stupid enough to mix the milk with the dairy alternative since it was clearly labelled (this is the staff the work there, just thought I’d make that extra clear) so I poured the milk in my drink as I usually would because, why would there be a problem, and it looked a bit off in colour and I thought that was strange so I double checked that I had the normal milk and I did so I continued, I only took a sip from my drink just to be extra safe, because the colour made me wary (but it’s a bloody hotel and conference centre, surely the staff wouldn’t contaminate stuff like that) and almost immediately my throat started to swell. Rushed to get water and antihistamines as I had only had a sip so I should be good. Took two and a half hours for me to be able to swallow properly and four hours for the pain to go. Felt unwell for the rest of the day. The centre people said they would “raise it with management” but I didn’t see anyone remove the contaminated milk!

Terrible service in the resturant this evening 22nd May 2023. Was told resturant closes at 8.30 and last orders was 8.15. Went down at 7.30, when asked for a table of two, was clearly an inconvenience. Was looking around as if was no free tables.... there was honestly about 40 free that had been set up for breakfast. Once seated, they moved away the breakfast cutlery and plonked down the dinner service, no hello or eye contact, all well and good having a glove on but service is not just the equipment. Lady came over and asked what group we were with, said just a hotel guest and this was greeted with more distaste and the said, well you have to pay at the end of your meal, won't be allowing you to put on the room (not that we had asked too) Bread and butter that was more suited to be an ice puck as was so hard was served. 5 minutes later we was asked to order food, however hadn't got a menu and was pointed to a scruffy bit of paper (about 5cm in size) as a qr code for the menu. Scanned and was no prices. Few minutes later asked to order, ordered two mains, this seemed an issue too, said would choose a desert after dinner, this didn't go down well either. As she walked off I asked if could order a drink, again, more distaste. This was enough for us, looking at what seemed a school dinner hot counter in the corner, had no confidence the food would be any good and the service was so bad, we left, only at this point did anyone seem to care. So disappointed, gym weights go up to 9kg and limited equipment. Such a shame as the grounds are lovely, the rest has put me off ever staying here for business or pleasure again

Wow what can i say!! What a lovley spotless hotel. The staff are lovely nothing is to much for them. The lady who works on reception is lovely id say she is a valuable asset to this hotel. I think her name may be courtney. The food is beautiful especially breakfast and is actually hot unlike some other hotels. I would give this hotel 5 stars. Its probably one of the best hotels i have stayed in. Keep up the good work. I Will most defineltly be staying here again in the future.

Our reservation hadn’t transfer over from *********** so we weren’t expected Room was clean and priced affordably Peaceful quiet location Rooms are spread out over the “campus”, ours was 5 minute outdoor walk from reception, however we were able to park nearby Peeling paint on the bathroom wall Only 1 towel, 1 glass & 1 cup in the room so clearly not set up for 2 guests and we had to share We later realised we were not given any relevant info at check in re breakfast & check out times and there was no detail in the room 2 Radiators in the room meant it was very warm, sleep was impossible for the both of us, by 3 am we'd turned off both radiators and had the window open but still too hot and outdoors there were freezing figures. Pillows were lumpy and only 2 very thin pillows between the two of us. We went for breakfast at 9am - a reasonable time we feel on a Sunday morning only to be told that Breakfast finished at 08:45 - even on a Sunday!!! We were offered a apple/banana and some rather overcooked pastries instead .... managed to get a brew at least especially after there not being facilities in the bedroom Returned to the room to find that the key no longer worked, walked back to reception where the snotty lady instructed that check was 09:30 and we should have been given breakfast / check out info upon our arrival - we agree but not our fault we weren't! We had to demand re-entry to the room to collect our belongings as receptionist was not minded to allow us entry. Very clear that this is not set-up for regular residents, I understand that conferences and training is the main business but if you are going to advertise and accommodate regular travellers then you really need to look after them properly

Booked for 1 night prior to an onsite overnight stay. Asked if I could stay in the room I was in rather than move to the one for the next night. Absolutely no problems in facilitating this, stayed loads of times before all excellent
