Carraw Bed & Breakfast

Really lovely B&B. Beautiful setting. Really nice food at both teatime and breakfast. The room was beautifully decorated and comfy. We had a really good stay and and would recommend to others walking the wall.

After many years of experience of holiday homes, we all agreed that Vesta View is the best. The booking process was straightforward and Leah is a kind and helpful host, while also mindful of visitors’ privacy. The house itself is immaculate and all 5 bedrooms boast superb en suite facilities so nobody ‘draws the short straw’! We really appreciated the space and the accessibility of the downstairs bedrooms, which made holidaying with an elderly person with disabilities so much easier. The kitchen and utility areas are well equipped and we are already missing those 180 degree views from the lounge windows. What with the views and the wildlife I hardly read a page of my book all holiday! Leah, we don’t quite know how you run your business and bring up a young family but hats off to you and Kevin! It’s been a holiday to treasure. Thank you.

This B&B literally is built on Hadrian's Wall which is why we booked it. It sits on a knoll and looks across endless sheep fields to the southern horizon. Our room and bathroom were updated and comfortable. The location and our room were quiet which is essential for us. The included breakfast was more than we normally would eat. Dinner is optional at a modest additional cost, and it too is hearty. To begin your walk along the wall all you have to do is cross the street.

This B&B is a converted farmhouse with all the charm you could ask for. Lots of historic features but all the modern amenities, with views that cannot be beat. Breakfast was plentiful. Guests should note that they do not offer supper on Saturdays or Sundays and there are NO places nearby to get food. Be sure to plan accordingly.

A lovely place to stay in a fantastic location. The room was very comfortable and clean with lots of extra touches including homemade biscuits! The breakfast was brilliant and the owners are very friendly too! A perfect spot to explore Hadrian’s Wall!

Well located for walking Hadrian's wall. The B&B is spotless and some nice touches added, eg home made biscuits in the room and towelling dressing gowns. However, the room we had was very cramped, but had gorgeous views of the moors. A separate sitting room was available, but in Covid times, some may not be happy sharing this space with other guests. The evening meal was as advertised, but overpriced , but since there are no other options within walking distance, there was no choice for our stay, since we arrived on foot

Just back from an amazing stay at Vesta View. Fabulous spacious house which was immaculate and very well equipped to a very high standard, Leah and Kevin have literally thought of everything. Plenty of space to cook and relax together and the bedrooms were lovely, all with ensuite facilities. We are a family group of 10 (3 generations) and the house was perfect for all of us. Would definitely recommend this as an amazing place to stay and the extra bonus is the fabulous view.
