Very friendly staff

Quiet, comfortable and relaxing afternoon tea. Lots of home cooked, fresh treats. Sandwiches, scones, quiche, cakes and treats. Endless tea and coffee (and fizz)! Attentive hosts, lovely view of the gardens and space and time to chat and catch up. All round lovely afternoon!

Decided to drop in for tea and a baked snack while touring North Yorkshire. Both of which were spot-on. Andy showed us around and described the work they had done to make a charming, historic B&B. Well worth either stopping for tea or staying the night.

A lovely bed and breakfast in a beautiful rural location but also not far places to visit. It's a little dated but this adds to the charm. We had a large room and bathroom, lots of space, with views over the pretty garden, the chicken run, and the fields out the front. It was very clean, with the tea tray refreshed every morning and fresh milk and brownie bites provided. The bed is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in, when away. A very helpful host and breakfast was delicious especially the fresh eggs! The only thing I'm not keen on is having to choose the night before, as I never know what I want then. But I can see why it's done. Overall a lovely 2 nights stay and would definitely stay again.

From arrival to departure we received a first class service from Andy and Ryan. Perfectionists in everything from the cleanliness of the bedrooms, the service, warm and friendly atmosphere and food is second to none. We will be returning again and plan to bring others with us! The location is perfect, not too far from York and surrounding villages and a great countryside feel escape. The service was incredible and you are made to feel very special throughout your stay and this was echoed to every visitor who stayed. We spoke to other visitors who felt the same way. The food portions are generous and incredible value for money. This was our first visit, but it won’t be our last! Thank you both so much! Mark and Lyza Williamson

Stopped in for afternoon tea. Lovely spot. Food was great and homemade to boot. Such a welcoming place for a spring day. Definitely worth coming back. Made friends with Oberon the 3 legged battle cat.

Beautiful location and easy parking. We received a warm welcome and our host was very accommodating and kind. Breakfast was delicious in a lovely dining room overlooking the garden. Our room was inviting and comfortable with a large bathroom. Overall a nice stay in a beautiful and interesting area.

Peaceful setting- very attentive hosts

This is a delightful place with very friendly hosts and a high standard of cooking and catering. It made for a really lovely afternoon tea in a beautiful surrounding. Very good value. Would highly recommend.
