Our go to spot, on a sunny evening. Nowhere quite like sitting out on the terrace, with a glass of Pimms and a Loweswater Gold. Recharges our batteries every time. A year since we lost our amazing Dad, we really needed something to take our minds off missing him. The Swan really did help. Thank you. X

Lovely, relaxing break. We went in the spa which is simple but lovely and chilled. Had a back massage afterwards - it was devine! We had afternoon tea, a meal in the brasserie (lamb rack was delicious) and breakfast the next morning - each meal was very well prepared with good quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Third visit and know we'll be back in the future.

Lovely friendly a**osphere . Room comfortable. Slept like a log. Spa was amazing. Location very scenic and had a lovely walk along lakeside. Meal was amazing with plenty of choice. Breakfast was also lovely with plenty of choice and not too early. Will definitely come again to use spa

Amazing location, fabulous room with super comfortable mattress, spacious and gorgeous view of the river. The food menu is fabulous with the best fish & chips I’ve ever had in my life. The area is outstanding with plenty of options to kayak, walking and cycling to explore the area right on the doorstep of this spectacular hotel.

Having broken down with a flat tyre just down the road, I headed to the Swan Hotel & Spa, knowing that it was the best place to get some food etc whilst waiting for recovery. The food was excellent. However BMW couldn't recover the vehicle until the following morning so arranged for a taxi to take me home. The staff at the San insisted on me registering my vehicle as a resident and were more than happy to take ownership of my car keys for the vehicle collection. On leaving the hotel I left an iPad on top of the car. I called the Hotel the next day and they had found the item and put it safely in their safe. I arranged collection via DPD. On return the item was so carefully wrapped and packaged it showed such care and attention. Having visited the Swan and worked there in my day job (wedding videographer), I can't recommend the Hotel more highly. Thank you very much to the staff for their help in what was a long day! Phil

It was a lovely hotel in a gorgeous location with lots to do. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. The room was very comfy and clean. I would definitely stay again. The spa was very nice and relaxing and a really good choice of breakfast food.

we loved our stay .it was wonderful , the room was good size , lovely decor , very clean , the bed was a god size and comfy all the staff especially the girls on reception were amazing and the spa staff were fantastic we both had massages from jodie and lydia would highly recommend , we will defiantly be returning soon ! love out relaxing stay

Beds and pillows very soft (not ideal for us), insufficient clothes hangers, no air conditioning, basic TV, more external noise than expected, maintenance required in fitness suite, making good to decoration in bedroom and public areas needed. Staff lovely, friendly and attentive, quality of food generally good (though basic pre-sliced bread and streaky bacon at breakfast), nice pool (although small) and steam room, river view, positive vibe. Would consider staying again but will check out other room options and spa.
