Travelodge Newport Isle of Wight

Excellent staff and room was very comfy, clean and warm. I was only here for one night but will certainly book again next time I am there for business.

If you’re looking for a very friendly no frills break, you can’t do better than this. Once I found a decent pillow it was just lovely. Ideal position, staff very friendly and welcoming. I’m coeliac and lactose intolerant and they couldn’t help me enough. Must give a shout out to Doreen at breakfast, especially. She always made sure I had an Alpro yogurt and enough soya milk for my cereal and to put in my small flask so I could use it through the day for coffee if needed. The only thing that wasn’t available (although tbf I didn’t ask, as I’m not bothered about it) was gf toast. I bought some bread buns from M and S as I prefer bread and spread. There’s an M n S and a Morrisons in walking distance through the town. The only things I couldn’t eat from the buffet were the scrambled eggs and the sausages, though gf sausages are so available nowadays I don’t understand it. There were individual Schar cornflake packets, fresh fruit and fruit compote. Also, lots of jams and spreads if you have bread. Everything on the buffet was well labelled also. Back bacon, mushrooms, fresh tomatoes, hash browns and beans.I ate very well here and wasn’t ill once. I hope this helps someone who is debating the safety of eating there. We’d certainly go back again.

Lovely stay at the travelodge for one night. David was very welcoming at the front desk and happy to help with any queries we had! Room was at a great standard, nice and clean. Definitely would recommend and it’s nice and central to the town so you have everything you need in walking distance

Fantastic, staff very helpful smiley and friendly especially chrissy and doren beds are super so comfortable had a good nights ,going purchase one of the matress differently, Rooms clean and good breakfast ,great value for the money ,one thing could do with slip mat in shower

Good location, comfy and clean rooms, very good value and tasty breakfast. Doreen and the team for breakfast service was always really helpful, made sure everything was okay and got us whatever we would like. Breakfast fully stocked from full English, pastries and fresh fruit available.

Nice comfortable Cosy hotel, friendly staff it is in very good location you can access any buses from the city , very good clean hotel, just one small draw back is they dont have their parking so we had to park further far from the hotel, paid parking.

I have my main holiday in Bembridge and wanted to stay a few extra nights on the island starting my holiday early so picked Newport. The hotel is very well placed and is spitting distance from the high street. The only issue I had was the soap dispenser in the shower was not working and the chamber maid did not fix it but someone from reception came and fixed it. Overall a good stay.

Another great stay at Newport IoW Travelodge! We always stay here when visiting the Island because it’s great value for money, comfortable rooms, good breakfast and friendly staff. David the assistant manager is always welcoming and Doreen at breakfast is on hand with any request and a friendly chat! Recommend staying here.

Excellent location for high street shops and pubs. We had a lovely stay on the whole. Doreen and Chrissy and all other staff made us very welcome. The breakfast was the best we've had in any Travelodge or similar chain, delicious mushrooms- had to adk Doreen if she had a secret recipe, first class bacon and sausages and great variety of cold buffet. DOWNSIDE - the bedding was appalling ( except mattress), nylon terry- style bottom sheets, well worn, looked like they had been one of those old Brentford Nylon mattress encasers which had been cut down into " make-do" sheets, knotted on corners - to keep them in place?? The duvets were hard and lifeless and duvet covers slit up sides for ease of putting on, but not comfortable. Do something about this dated bedding and this would be one of the top Travelodges
