Hotel Solarena, BW Premier Collection

I was disappointed with my stay at Sonder Solarena. The price for 1 night was very expensive, considering the quality of the room. It felt unwelcoming, with a very strong smell of bleach in the room, which was even stronger in the bathroom. The bathroom was poorly equipped and seemed to have been used a lot, not very clean. The AC was not efficient and too noisy, I had to turn it off. The location is close to the beach, but far from the town center, and just along the main road, so the surroundings were not enjoyable, and noisy. This was not worthy of the price I paid for the stay. I would not recommend.

The walls are paper thin you can hear what other people are doing in nearby rooms. The freeway is right outside your door. Overall very noisy and they charge you 45$ to check in early. I would have rather stayed somewhere quiet with decent thickness walls

Always a nice relaxing stay. We love being able to walk across the street to the beach. Friendly staff and just an easy place to check in and out of. Decent restaurants within walking distance. Thank you Sonder.

Soft mattress, Thick pillows so these were opposite from what I'm used to but I slept fine until someone left the building because Room 106 is right by the door to go outside. Not happy with paying $80 in parking but you're in California, pay everywhere to park. The location was great for me because I rode my bike to the beach every day to see the Pacific Air Show. Remember your 6 digit code that is emailed 3 days prior, used to enter. Overall, even with the loud banging of the door as people are going in or out, it was peaceful and quiet.

The room was nice and clean, sheets were soft and the beds were comfortable, the location is right across from Newport Beach, the staff was friendly and helpful. We stayed 2 nights here and 1 night in Laguna Beach.

My wife and I enjoyed the clean room. Lots of space. Very close to the beach. The check-in was easy. Staff very friendly. Plenty of good parking. Great access to prime sites such as food and shopping.

Amazing hotel. Beautiful area. Loved the fresh, ocean air in the morning. Great location with a lot of cafes and restaurants. Super nice staff. Very kid-friendly. Parking price is reasonable which is a big deal in California. Very casual but super comfortable.

Great location and rooms were very clean and decent. Not a fan of virtual check-in and keys but once i downloaded the app it was very easy. Across the street from the water and very close to restaurants etc. Strongly recommend.

The worst hotel I can ever remember staying at in my life. There were several visual problems with the hotel, which made me more concerned about all the issues we werent seeing. The hotel room was dirty; sandy floors and sandy bed sheets, shower/bath was dirty, some of the bathroom towels smelled of mildew. The room was also rundown—the decor was new/modern, but basic upkeep had been neglected. The walls and floors were thinner than I had ever experienced—we could hear every step taken on the floors around us. Our room also looked straight out into traffic, that didn’t stop throughout the night. The AC unit was so loud, and combined with the room placement it was impossible to sleep. We went to the pool on our last morning and it was so bad. There were no towels, we went to get in the pool and the handrail going into the pool was completely broken and disconnected from its base. There was a ton of sand and dirt in the pool, no shallow end for our kids, and trash all around on the pool deck. On our first night I so wished we had spent a little extra money to stay in a nicer hotel with a trusted reputation.
