The Bayberry

House is beautifully decorated and well /preserved . Tait was our host for our stay and made sure we were comfortable . His breakfasts were always gourmet and different each day of our stay . We felt like we were staying at a chef-friends’ house ! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful looking Inn Great location as walkable to the port and waterfront shops and restaurants . They did have help yourself tea and coffee and a cookie plate and a breakfast was offered . The cold option was yoghurt and fruit and granola and they did offer a hot too but no choice and no options just delivered to your table whilst you were eating the cold options. Sadly there was absolutely no staff on hand for arrival welcome , advice or room servicing . And I gather no one on hand overnight that stays at the accommodation. Stating rooms would not be serviced for health and safety of guests. I found this disappointing. The rooms were pretty and clean but bathrooms a little tired in areas. Overall a nice stay but no visitor inn owner interaction . I gather the inn is up for sale so feel that maybe they have lost interest in the personal touches.

This B&B was a great find. Beautiful Newport-style decor. Beds and linens were extremely comfortable. We stayed in the Hydrangea suite which had a jacuzzi - nice extra perk. Breakfast the next morning was custom cooked by a chef and the food was absolutely delicious. The B&B is walking distance from downtown. Very easy to get in/out. We will def be coming back!

From reservations, to communication to superb service, The Bayberry Inn has it all. In a city with little parking it was so nice to arrive to a large, spacious, free parking lot. Nikki was so accommodating and communicated with us about our arrival time and had everything ready for us. Our room and the entire Inn is decorated so beautifully. We especially enjoyed the front porch and the fire pit. The breakfast prepared and served by Chef Tate was gourmet. We truly enjoyed our experience and only wished we had more time to stay and enjoy more of the house. We will be back!

Disgusting experience!!!!!!!!!! We stayed there for 2 tonight. breakfast was really bad. They served us spoiled orange juice that was already carbonated. I felt bad the following day. Our rooms were ok , even though, old air conditioner that is installed in the window was making such a loud noise. oh, before checking out, my wife noticed that we were overcharged with some fees and taxes($300 ) regardless of the fact that we already paid for everything. After conversation with the owner regarding the overcharge , we received the text message that we are not welcome anymore in this house, and we must leave immediately.!!!!! I’ve been traveling around the world, had been staying in different hotels, meeting different people, have never been so humiliated, considering that it was $600 per night. that was supposed to be our family vacation, and that was supposed to be a good experience, good service, and they were supposed to treat us well, in my opinion that’s what you’re supposed to receive when you paying so much per night.

We had a wonderful 3 day stay over Memorial Weekend. The Bayberry Inn did not disappoint. The bedroom was most comfortable, ample in size, and well appointed. All the amenities were very nice as well as the well presented breakfast. This B&B is well maintained and extremely well located in Newport. In fact, it is unlikely you'd find a better location. Located on a residential, quiet street, the large parking lot is a real plus. We look forward to returning.

The Bayberry is lovely, the room was beautiful, lovely bedding all top quality, breakfast the best of all our holiday, like a Michelin star restaurant. Great location , an easy walk to everything. Absolutely would recommend The Bayberry. Were from England & wont be coming back to this area so I'm really glad we found this gem.

Wonderful B & B Experience. Beautifully renovated, with tasteful, comfortable furnishings and all the amenities you need. Delicious breakfast. Centrally located (15-20 minute walk to the Cliff Walk, 10-15 minute walk to Restaurants & Shops).

To say that this is tastefully renovated is an understatement! Everything about it is pleasing to the senses: the quiet, the modern amenities, the luxurious bathrooms/shower, towels, etc., the linens, the climate control, the furniture and spaciousness of both the room and the public areas — it's all top drawer and a great value on the dollar. The breakfast is superb, the attention-to-detail is evident throughout the Inn. Light snacks and refreshments are provided throughout the afternoon. There are well-kept gardens and sitting areas outside. It's location is every bit as pleasing. Easy walk to both the waterfront, Thames Street, Memorial Blvd., Bellevue Ave and the mansions, It will be our only choice when visiting Newport in the future, which we love doing every year or so. Thank you for putting your heart and soul into making this such a pleasant, comfortable, relaxing place to spend the weekend in Newport!
