The rooms were very large but I didn’t realize it was under renovations. The room was clean but the bathroom had mold in the tub

We were warmly greeted by the very sweet desk clerk, Derek. First impressions are so key! He made us feel welcome and he was very helpful. The room was very clean, another most important requirement. If we return to Newport News, we will definitely stay here!

It was very quiet. They had construction to refresh some areas, but had online & signage to let us know. The work hours were sensible and didn't impact us at all. The rooms were clean, the water pressure was great and the water hot. Our favorite part was breakfast. She handed us our plates, brought us coffee and juice, was very friendly to everyone. Morning two, remembered we liked coffee and had it on "our" table for us by the time we finished loading our plates. They had fresh fruit also. Very well done. I wish I remembered her name, but she made the breakfast fun.

The only problem that I had was I wished that the exhaust system in the bathroom worked a little better.
