On arrival check in was easy. The room looked clean enough. We went for a walk and had dinner then went to bed. In the morning we got up and got ready to have a shower but there was no hot water. Reception was not open at this hour so we had to go without a shower. We spoke to someone from the Hotel who just d=said - 'sorry about that' The cost of the room was in the mid range price so we would have expected everything to work correctly. Breakfast was good but a bit slow in getting a cooked breakfast, but otherwise it was great food.

Service friendly, room slightly dated but clean and comfortable. Great location and free parking is a bonus. Good value. Strangely there was no option to book a twin room including breakfast, whereas it was possible for a double.

Room 17 , stay clear , room from hell when the kitchen extrater goes on , was like torture , they should of told us we would never had stayed in that room .

Fabulous location, ideal for business or pleasure, great car park, close to everything, excellent service from Kat and the team - massive thank you for looking after our team of lads for 2 weeks - nothing was to much trouble Highly recommend - Thanks Lisa x

We were welcomed by very nice staff Polly,Nigel and i think another staff members name was Meg not sure,They all very helpful and polite,work very hard to look after you during your stay,It was very homely Rooms lovely and clean Nice big bathroom we even had a sea view Food really nice,Breakfast was brill and Sunday lunch was very nice too Carvery was piping hot with lots if choice on meat and veg,We would recommend this hotel Great location and will definately be back again soon

Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and room clean and welcoming. On site parking available and local to shops. Walking distance to the major surfing beaches. On site food available in the evening. ————————————————————————————-/————————————

The hotel has a convenient location, excellent free parking. The staff were sociable, helpful and polite.
The hotel gives you everything that you need including a fabulous cooked breakfast. This is not The Ritz but it doesn't claim to be. The Griffin is a good, honest value for money hotel and I'd recommend it to anyone.
