Perfect location , perfect hotel and fantastic staff ... what more is the say the only down side is more people will find this place and it will become harder to book

We had a 2 night stay at this hotel and found it far exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious and beautifully equipped. The staff were friendly and the food excellent. We will return.

Room was large and clean and well provided. A fridge in the room was very useful. The room was very hot and we didn’t seem to be able to turn off the heated towel rail. The cattle grid at the front was very noisy. Dinner menu was quite limited but ok. The lounge and conservatory areas were lovely. Breakfast was excellent. Staff were excellent. Parking and check in all excellent.

A beautiful hotel, gardens are exceptional, plenty of seating in and out to enjoy the view. The conservatory is a wonderful place to have breakfast and dinner, the quality of the furniture is was exceptional. Along with the most friendly staff makes this a tip top place to stay.

Lovely hotel and very friendly staff but there was obviously a shortage of staff during our stay , the same person serving you food at night and following day cleaning rooms , communication about what was happening needs to improve and disappointing if at 5pm your room still not been cleaned .Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much for them .

I had a wonderful solo evening looking out from the restaurant at the garden and mist beyond. You can walk straight out onto the moor. I enjoyed the meal, which I thought was great value, as was the single room. I'll definitely come back for some walking (I was there for an event in Widecombe so couldn't make use of the location as much as I would have liked.)
