I actually struggle writing this review. I would prefer to keep this place our secret but the resort truly deserves a great review. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect. I believe Barry (the owner) told me that he and his wife have traveled extensively and made note of all the things they think could have done better and incorporated that in their resort. It shows!! They make you feel like family and so welcome. We stayed at 5 resorts in Roratonga in April 2024 and Ocean Escapes was by far our favorite. We have already booked our next visit and would highly recommend this resort to adult couples, honeymooners and anyone over 16. The only negative is the beach is not ideal for water activities but there are so many public beaches on the Island it was not an issue for us. The plus side to that is no one else uses the beach!

A lovely, restful stay. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and pleasant. Rooms are great and the pool and other facilities are lovely. We would definitely stay again.

Stayed three nights in this new resort on the beach. We had villa no2 which overlooks the beach. Extremely large two story and fantastically equiped. Just like your own house. Everything spotless. Massive bed. Just one thing could do with a table in main room for dinner etc instead of a small sit up bar. Bus stops outside door, convenience store 150 m down the road. Also Villis Burger joint. Great cheap burgers and Pizzas

This was my first time visiting Rarotonga and my accomodation area was amazing. It has gorgeous features and a warm aura. The people here welcomed me with warm smiles.
If I was to stay in Rarotonga again I would definitely come back to ocean escape resort & spa

Boutique modern, clean and comfortable. What an awesome resort to enjoy! Great salt water pool, comfy bed and generous welcome breakfast basket, champagne and all. Was a great way to end our honeymoon stay in Rarotonga. Staff are so lovely too 🥰 with great tips on the local burger joint, and travel logistics.

Everything at this place was perfect. Beautiful position on the island , the villas are absolutely stunning and most importantly the hospitality of the owners and staff was next level. Best place we have ever stayed . Thanks Barry and Jade.

What an absolute gem Jade & Barry have created at Ocean Escape Resort. Chic, boutique resort w discerning taste in everything from the ambience of the well appointed rooms, that include full kitchens, full sized fridge, big bathroom and separate sleeping area upstairs on a mezzanine. Leaving you to enjoy your villa all day long w easy access to the pool. Great tunes play out all day long, creating a relaxing vibe. Jade & Barry we are coming back!!

Wow. What a great property. Hosted by Barry & Jade you’re immediately made to feel like part of the family. With only 12 villas in the complex you feel like you’re at a home away from home. The villas are incredibly well thought out with large living, kitchen and bathroom and a mezzanine bedroom upstairs. There’s everything you need and more in the kitchen to cook as much, or as little as you want. Everywhere you look there is attention to detail, nothing has been forgotten (including egg cups!). The bar is yet to open but a sneak preview was had and it’s going to be just as good as the rest. The spa had talented staff and incredibly reasonable prices. Across the road is an excellent mini supermarket that has everything you need and Villi’s burgers are a must have. Thinking about staying at Ocean Escape? Do it, you won’t be disappointed.

Ok our stay in this fabulous place was under the Covid umbrella as our isolation accommodation, what a wonderful place Barry and Jody awesome hosts. Brand new fresh up market appliances, fresh fruit milk cereal on arrival. Bathroom towels etc just amazing.
