Landhotel Maarheide

Tucked away in a residential area, not a hotel you would just pass by, not visible even from the country road. We used it for an overnight stay, and as such it was a good choice. Not immediately by the Autobahn, but a convenient 5 - 10 minute drive. The hotel itself doesn't look much like a hotel from the outside, but more like a regular house. It's the inside that counts though, and that met our humble requirements. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and had the amenities we needed. Decor is maybe a bit dated, but everything is fully functional. The owner/manager was extremely accommodating and helpful. The hotel doesn't offer dinner, but she was very helpful in helping us finding a place to eat nearby. It was clear that she took pride in her job, and cared for the guest experience. Such engagement is always appreciated. Breakfast was good and filling. The view from the breakfast room was very nice. Not a luxury stay, but it's a good option for an overnight stay in a convenient location and with good service. Definitely recommended.

Great stay

It was really convenient. The room was spacious and we loved the balconies. We were on a road trip so we only stayed for a night, but we enjoyed our staying. The room was clean, and the breakfast was great to keep us going.
