1. Hotel Service: 5 points 2. Cleanliness: 3 points 3. Meals: 4.5 points 4. Hot Spring Water: 4.5 points Recommendation: Yes! This is my first time visiting Kinugawa Onsen. Naturally, I don't know where anything is, but it is just a quiet rural village. I think there is a small station nearby, but I'm not sure since I went by rental car. If you like drinking and eating, I recommend adding breakfast and dinner! There is absolutely nothing around! It's a total countryside village… The hot spring water seems to be well-maintained. When I visited, there were overwhelmingly more Japanese guests. The only downside to this hotel is that everything is too old. However, it seems they offer meals and drinks as a service. An honest review paid for with my own money!

It was within walking distance from the nearest station. The main dish for dinner seemed to be soy milk hot pot, but some people were having a soy sauce-based version. I don't like soy milk, so I wish they had asked me at some point. Drinks, including alcohol, were all-you-can-drink. It would have been nice if there was a choice between an all-you-can-drink course and a course focused on food. Thank you for your hospitality.

A taxi from Nikko Station costs 1000-1200 yen, while a bus costs 300 yen per person. The hotel facilities are very old, and staff were only seen at the front desk and in the restaurant; other facilities were basically unmaintained. You have to make your own bed, and there was no housekeeping for either of my two nights. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it, especially since booking on weekends is expensive. There's free afternoon tea in the lobby, and breakfast and dinner are okay, but the menu is exactly the same for both nights.

My own sandals were stolen from the public bath and never returned. I really liked them, so it's extremely disappointing. They looked completely different from the hotel's, and I can't understand why someone would just take someone else's sandals, especially in Japan. The hotel hasn't taken any action whatsoever.

The food was delicious. The staff were all smiling and very helpful. We had the hot springs to ourselves, so we could relax in. Thank you for your hospitality.

I felt it offered excellent value for money. The hot springs were flawless, and while the buffet-style meals weren't breathtakingly delicious, the variety was ample and quite satisfying. The game corner and table tennis area were a bit dated, but for those who enjoy that kind of nostalgic atmosphere, it's a plus.

I was looking for a ryokan (Japanese inn) with delicious-looking food, and this one seemed good, so I made a reservation. The soy milk shabu-shabu was absolutely delicious. The all-you-can-drink option was also a nice touch. The buffet and breakfast weren't particularly amazing, but I'm glad I included them since I wanted to leave at a leisurely pace. The hot spring was small, but the temperature was just right and it relieved my fatigue. Its proximity to the station made it a convenient location for getting around by car.
