GRAND HOUSE NINGBO

This is my second stay at this hotel this year! It's located right within the Zheng's 17-House Scenic Area, boasting a large complex of ancient Qing Dynasty residential buildings. Guests get to experience staying in a 60,000 square meter Ming and Qing ancient village, where opening your door reveals the unique江南 (Jiangnan) charm of horse-head walls and small bridges over flowing streams. The hotel also features a kids' play area, a gym, a tea room, and other facilities, making it perfect for families and those looking to relax.

The environment inside the Seventeen Houses Scenic Area is quite good. The detached houses are relatively quiet, with the natural sounds of birds and insects at night. There's a shuttle service within the scenic area, and food delivery also comes right to your door. It would be even better if the breakfast options and dining environment were improved. I would consider coming back again.

This hotel is absolutely fantastic! 😍 The rooms are spacious and bright, and the bedding is so comfortable and soft. The service is also incredibly attentive and warm, making you feel right at home. I particularly loved their breakfast and lunch – the food was super delicious! Highly recommend it to everyone.

This hotel is located within the Shiqi Mansion scenic area, boasting ancient-style architecture. The rooms are loft-style, which really enhances the historic atmosphere. It's incredibly pleasant to just stroll around the courtyard and take some photos. The hotel's service is excellent; you can call for the shuttle bus anytime, and the breakfast is incredibly rich – they even have fresh cold noodles you can mix yourself. I'll definitely come back to stay again next autumn.

This hotel, with its Ming and Qing dynasty architectural style, narrow old streets, and tranquil ambiance, feels like a step back in time. The excellent service from the front desk staff and Butler Xianxian made me feel incredibly welcome, and they even upgraded me to a private villa, which was spacious and comfortable with clean bedding. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. It's truly a wonderful place for a relaxing vacation.

The resort is quite expansive, and there are golf carts available for transfers – just give them a call and they'll arrive promptly. Breakfast is Chinese style; while the variety isn't huge, the dishes are refined and taste great. I particularly enjoyed the mini wontons and noodles. The minced pork from the self-service condiment bar was a standout. The hotel pool was being serviced, but the front desk was very accommodating and directed us to the indoor pool at Jiulong Lake New Century Hotel, about a 20-minute drive away, which was a nice new discovery. If you appreciate ancient architecture and gardens, this is a wonderful place to experience. It's very quiet at night, so you'll get a great night's sleep. Just remember to bring mosquito repellent!

The room was very clean. My husband said the hotel staff provided excellent and warm service. We enjoyed the complimentary yellow croaker noodles. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and the environment was beautiful, making us feel like we had traveled back to ancient times. The experience was fantastic!

The hotel's service and rooms are quite good. We stayed in a modern room type, and it was spacious and comfortable. The butler was very responsive. The hotel has a gym and a children's play area. The indoor pool wasn't open, but we were told we could go to Jiulong Lake Kaiyuan for water activities. The Seventeen Houses scenic area was just so-so. It's quite small, probably due to a lack of visitors. Performances weren't always happening; we missed them twice according to the schedule and didn't see a single show. You can interact with the NPCs and play the 'silver note' game, and the NPCs were quite friendly.

Location & Transportation: The hotel is nestled within the Zhengshi Shiqifang Scenic Area in Shiqifang Village, Zhenhai District, right by Jiulong Lake. It's surrounded by mountains and water, offering a superb environment. Driving there is quite convenient, with a spacious surface parking lot that includes plenty of spots and even EV charging stations. Service: The service here is truly commendable. I've been many times, and now they offer a butler service. Our butler, Xianxian, provided excellent and attentive service. All our questions were quickly communicated and resolved. She also friendly reminded us about hotel itineraries and activities. Room & Facilities: The hotel and room facilities are very new. The indoor areas are well-maintained, and the bedding is great, ensuring a comfortable sleep. The room comes with a bathtub and a small private courtyard, making it perfect for a relaxing getaway. Breakfast: Breakfast is quite abundant. Even with many guests, the food was always replenished promptly, and the dishes were good. Restaurant: There's a restaurant called 'Zheng's Kitchen.' Their yellow croaker seafood noodles are incredibly fresh, and other dishes also taste good. The value for money is decent.
