Key Terrace Hotel Seamore is a really lovely, modern and chic hotel in the south of Wakayama Prefecture. We stayed in a sea view room with Tatatmi area, and booked dinner at one of the two traditional restaurants within the hotel complex. First, the views are wonderful. Taking a relaxing moment at the infinity footbath, or a drink in the beer garden at night are absolute musts to enjoy the sights. You can also visit the underwater observatory, or use the onsen facilities. Some other reviews have mentioned, unfortunately, the place is surrounded by nature, and that means bugs. They're like cockroaches but not. If you're creeped out by things that scuttle, don't go to the outdoor onsen. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to Sandanbeki caves, and a five minute walk to the fisherman's wharf. A short car ride will take you to Adventure World. within the hotel there are lots of facilities for enjoying your night for families or groups of friends. There's also a karaoke room on the 3rd floor (book in advance). Dinner was phenomenal. We had a selection of foods from the region, including freshly caught abalone and a freshly prepared mackerel sashimi (the head of which they turned into a soup for us once the sashimi was gone). The buffet at breakfast has a mix of all Japanese standards and Western styles. There's also the delicious pastries of Tettei bakery inside the hotel if you wanna buy something for the drive back. Would go back and would recommend the hotel to friends who are looking for a great stay in Shirahama.

I stayed in a twin room with a dog. The same room for pets seems to be limited to the annex, and there is no bath in the room and you can't see the view, but the amenities for pets were substantial. I was a little worried about sleeping with a bed because I had a 6-month-old baby, but I was able to sleep well without worrying about falling because I attached two beds to the wall side! The owner is a Northeastern lady who has been in Japan for 30 years and has stayed in the hotel for about three years. Japanese-style room, comfortable and clean, a relaxing house. It is close to the white sand beach, 24-hour supermarket, FamilyMart and Lawson are all three to five minutes away. If you are in good physical condition, you can walk to Sandanbei and Qiandu. On the way back, take a dip in Saki no Yu (remember to bring a towel), and then go to Yuanyue Island to watch the sunset. Well, Shirahama’s day is scheduled. I relied on my legs the whole way and walked down more than 27,000 steps (I also went to Pingcao Garden). Here comes the key. I couldn't choose a room with breakfast, but I was given breakfast directly. The seafood porridge is great.

It's far away, but it's just in a good location to use a large bath and a self kitchen. Small children were together, but I was able to spend slowly without worrying about the surroundings. The room was cleaned well and the bed was fuzzy and comfortable. There is a refrigerator with a freezer. The washbasin and toilet are 2 by 2. The washroom of the open-air bath takes about 5 minutes to get hot water. The open-air bath in umeboshi is the size that all the families can enter and the children are very large. Outside the hotel There is a shower and faucet, so I think it will be convenient when it comes from the sea in summer. Thank you for every wonderful staff who served for us during my stay. Especially Mr Rajesh from the restaurant. He is really kind person. Hotel is situated in the peak of Shirahama. The building and facilities is modern. When we arrived the hotel, they will escort you to take the welcome drink first in lounge then the the lady receptionist will explain the facilities and show you the way to room. The hot springs is really comfortable and facing the town. Room is average as we booked the standard room but they do have rooms with balcony. Highly recommend! The dinner meal is served Italian and taste is yummy with quality. Morning breakfast is extremely delicious compared to other resort hotel. They serve fresh sushi, fruit, juice…… and separate three different sessions to eat. In summer, swimming pool is open to use & gym room is available. When we leave the hotel, two gentlemen help us put the luggages inside the car and farewell us until our car totally away from hotel. Really enjoyable the stay and recommend who come to Shirahama.

I had a great experience staying at this hotel! The view from our room was amazing and we particularly enjoyed the private onsen, which allowed us to unwind while watching the stunning sunset. The staff were all very friendly and polite, which made our stay even better. However, the hotel's location is next to the beach, which means you have to climb a slope to get there. It is also quite far from the JR station, and the only public transportation available is a 30-minute bus ride. Additionally, there are no restaurants or convenience stores nearby, so you might want to plan ahead for meals.
