Great but Sucky parking

The hotel was convenient when visiting Nauticus. The hotel checking in staff mentioned I booked through a 3rd party- yes I booked through orbitz. Does that really make a difference? Paid for parking in advanced & when asked where to park I was given information to the wrong lot. Lost money in parking due to this. The hotel room was a nice size. Beds were comfortable. Room smelled like cigarette smoke masked with perfume.

Arrived late, but the views from my room were immaculate. It was clean, but I always clean also before making myself comfortable. It was quiet. I found a great place to park on the street or you can utilize the garage across the street. My breakfast came to my room hot and ready. Will stay again.

After we checked in, we received a letter under our door that said that the water would be shut off the following day from 10am-3pm. They knew this when we checked in but didn't tell us so we didn't have an opportunity to change hotels. When we went to complain, they basically said, "we told you it was going to happen so we don't have to compensate you in any way." Had we known before we checked in, we would have changed hotels. The next morning, the toilet backed up.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waterside Marriott. Our room was clean, the bedding and towels were great and we appreciated all of the outlets for charging, small touches, etc. Our room had a fridge which was a nice touch as well as a blow dryer and ironing board available. Really pleased with our stay and the location was great!

From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a friendly smile. this place is immaculate. the room was spotless. stayed on the 22nd floor with a beautiful view. the one thing i can say is if there any cons(which i didnt see any). the staff made up for them. the entire staff goes above and beyond for the client. i have never seen a happier and more accommodating staff who thoroughly love their job and take pride in what they do. definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again.

My stay at the Norfolk Waterside Marriott was wonderful. My family and I was in town for my nephews graduation and stayed 4 days and 3 nights. The door staff and Valet met us at our car upon arrival, grabbed our luggage and walked us into the facility. We did not have to wait, nor go looking for help. The desk staff, upon arrival, was friendly and informative. Our room was immaculate which is always a plus. I’ve stayed in many hotels, being an ex- flight attendant and the Norfolk Waterside Marriott is one I won’t soon forget. Beautiful area just a couple blocks from the waterfront and a plethora of shops and eateries. We will definitely be back real soon.
