I stayed at the Canopy for a business trip for 4 nights. The location is very convienent as my workplace was a 5 minute walk, and there are lots of delicious restaurants, bars, cafes etc nearby. There’s also shopping nearby. Upon entering, I thought it was a bit strange you had to check in on the 3rd level. You take the elevator from the bottom floor to go up. Once I was able to check in, I was able to go into my room on the 5th floor. The gym is on the 5th floor, but it looked pretty tiny when I peeked in. One plus is that I like how there’s a water dispenser and ice machine on every floor by the elevator. A huge plus! My room was nice, relaxing and quiet. The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed the bathroom toiletries. They have a lovely lemon scent. However a few things that annoyed me about the room: there is no fridge, only a cooler drawer, there is limited drawer space and the “closet” is an open air area to hang your clothes and place your luggage, and my outlet next to the bed was loose. Whenever I plugged in my charger, the panel would come out. The cooler drawer confused me since I thought it was a fridge but there’s no temperature controls. How do you even place ice in it without making a mess? That was a huge con for me, and I’ve never stayed in a hotel that had a cooler instead of a fridge. There’s a Nespresso machine in your room and I used it daily. Unfortunately no complimentary breakfast is offered at this hotel, but there is a breakfast buffet, Hello Betty downstairs that opens at 6AM and costs $14. I didn’t get to try it since I just bought a breakfast sandwich from Starbucks nearby. Staff are very friendly and you can check in your luggage for storage for checking in/out. Despite the cons, I would stay here again, albeit only for a few days.
