I found Poggio Amorelli on Tripadvisor. When I pulled in for my evening stay, I was so tired from driving, and I had not eaten since breakfast. Ken and Angel met me in the driveway, helped me with my bags, and brought me a welcome glass of wine and a chef-prepared appetizer. From that point on, it was the most relaxing and gracious stay I've ever experienced. I was further comforted by the gentle summer rain as I sat on the enclosed porch. I honestly did not want to get out of bed in the morning, but breakfast was an amazing incentive. Angel's yogurt with fruit and her homemade granola was a treat. The conversation, the roses, the music, the menu, and the ambiance - a completely elegant respite! (NOTE: I'd honestly prefer to keep this place a secret and make it a selfishly indulgent getaway, but I urge you to go see for yourself...)
