I always stay at this Hilton for business. It is always nice. It is undergoing cosmetic construction at the moment. The bathtub was stained and a light in the bathroom kept going out (it was replaced quickly but went out again and since I was only staying for 1 night I did not want to move rooms). I will definitely stay here again and I look forward to seeing the changes. The staff are always friendly and professional.

Just wanted to take a moment to recognize Danny (Danielle) who bartended 3 out of the 5 nights we visited. It was our first visit to Charleston and she gave us tips and suggestions on things to do locally that would rival any hotel concierge. All this while providing excellent service in the bar/restaurant and making sure the basketball games were on. All of the restaurant staff were friendly and very accommodating for our daily breakfast (would recommend) and happy hour/dinner/drinks. Especially Morgan who was grace under pressure on her first night ever. We know Morgan will be a true asset to the team as well. As loyal HHonor members since the 80’s, we can honestly say the team at Hilton Garden Inn Charleston airport personify excellence in service.

My wife and I had a great 5 night stay when in town for our daughter’s wedding. On our last night, and our bartender’s first shift at the hotel, there was one challenging guest at the bar. Donald did a great job of assisting/training his new bartender while filling multiple requests from this particular guest. The guest chose to engage me in unwanted conversation despite my requesting that she not. Donald was extremely appreciative of my “assistance “, had great conversation with me, my wife, ( a psych professional), his new employee and was kind enough to see that our involvement was recognized and rewarded. The staff here was wonderfully attentive and very professional, reflecting the type of organization Donald and the rest of the local management team is creating at this location.

The overall condition seems run-down. Especially carpeting in my room, floorboards too. My bed was wonderful however. The front desk clerk, Jennifer, was one of the best I’ve ever encountered. A true pleasure.

Hotel is mostly new and everything was pretty clean. Not a lot of noise at all from the airport like you might think. Right by a pretty cool outlet mall. Don't go to the Chilis across the highway... Cheryl made my day at breakfast with her beaming positivity and kind attentiveness.

Someone can call me 843-670-2700.Max The door was very hard to open. You needed a battering ram! The toilet was clogged before we got there. The shower sprayed all over the floor, had to use towels to keep away from toilet. The shower curtain was installed backwards. Our room was located next to elevators. Never do that again. Cleaning personnel congregated outside our door at 7:30am laughing and yelling down the hallway to others. Probably won’t be back..

Toilet was broken so was the door. Towels were not neat. Sink was coming apart. Bath plug did not open. Understaffed. Could reach room service. Maybe a free breakfast would have compensated but. $20 for a breakfast buffet? Wont stay here again.

Our room was perfect, except for a window curtain which wouldn't close. Staff came immediately to fix the problem.
