Starlight Lodge North Conway

Great place!

We discovered Starlight Lodge a few years ago and just went back for the snow this past weekend. The rates are reasonable and the rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. Silvia and Jim are the nicest innkeepers and are very accommodating. Silvia knew what time were going to arrive and the lights and fireplace were already on. Such a nice touch! And jim had us plowed out in a jiffy. We will be back again and again!

Unable to reach my condo, I was stranded in a blizzard with my 9yo daughter at 9pm. The roads weren’t plowed in North Conway and my Accord could barely move. I pulled off the road next to the StarLight Lodge and that’s where my car got stuck. I walked to the lobby of the lodge,and not surprisingly given the weather, no one was there. I was nervous at this point but knew I had to stay calm for my daughter’s sake, so I went back to my car and called the lodge. Thankfully, Silvia the innkeeper answered the phone. I explained my situation and within minutes Jim and Silvia arrived with their plow truck. In no time Jim had me plowed out and the parking lot cleaned up. I asked Silvia if they had a room available for the night and she had two options available. Both options were very reasonably priced, which I really appreciated given the fact that they could have charge me anything at that point and I would have paid it. I think that speaks to the character of the people who run this business. I wasn’t sure what to expect as Silvia showed us to our room, as I have high standards when it comes to the cleanliness of hotels. We were not disappointed! The room was newly remodeled and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, soft and supportive. There were also plenty of extra pillows, blankets and towels. One thing that struck me were all the details that made the room extra comfortable. A large fridge and freezer, a flatscreen with tons of channels, one of those electric fireplace heaters (my daughter loved that), a box fan in the closet to dry my wet clothes, even an ice scraper to clean off my car in the morning (bc of course I forgot mine). As if that wasn’t enough they even offer a breakfast area in the lobby with free coffee and muffins! Thanks to the Starlight lodge, a near disaster turned into a fun adventure for my daughter and I. I am so thankful to Silvia and Jim for saving the day and am happy to recommend their lodge to my family and friends.

I regret to inform potential guests that our experience at the Starlight Lodge was less than satisfactory. Despite the pleasant staff, the overall fundamentals our stay left much to be desired. A frigid shower, an uncomfortably rigid bed, and incessant noise emanating from neighboring guests plagued any hope for a restful stay. Regrettably, the purported hospitality of the employees failed to alleviate these persistent issues. Compounded by the unavailability of our usual lodging, our stay was further marred by the necessity to prematurely check out after enduring only a single night. Such an experience certainly falls short of expectations and warrants reconsideration for those seeking a comfortable and tranquil retreat.

Very clean! Great find! The lodge was cozy and has everything you need. I would highly recommend staying her. Unique little extras that make a difference. We visited in the winter and they had ice scrapers outside each room, coffee, hot chocolate and muffins.

BEAUTIFULLY RENOVATED — and SO CLEAN! One of the few hotels with AWESOME PILLOWS, soft sheets and King-sized beds! We have stayed in many hotels preparing for our White Mountain hikes, and this has been the BEST FIND for cost, comfort, location, amenities — and in cool CONTEMPORARY style! EXCEPTIONAL HOSTS — Silvia and Jim are incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, friendly and extremely accommodating! In addition to reimagining the rooms of this intimate little lodge, they have designed a beautiful, quaint, “north country” BOUTIQUE SHOP (we bought 2 quality starlight lodge red mugs for only $10 each!), plus a WELL STOCKED COMMON ROOM equipped with 2 microwaves, a toaster and coffee maker — FREE! coffee, hot cocoa, delicious little blueberry muffins, creameries, and perfectly packaged individual bags of ice that fit nicely into the freezer section of your in-room refrigerator. IDEAL LOCATION — situated on the north edge of downtown North Conway — it is in excellent proximity to all that North Conway has to offer, while providing a quick release NORTH to Jackson, NH, Pinkham Notch, and Crawford Notch… you can also cross country SKI OR SNOWSHOE right up to your room — with a 40 km network of free trails to explore! …en route to Pinkham Notch? — stop by the Autumn Nomad Cafe in Jackson, NH for scrumptious baked goods, gourmet breakfast sandwiches, espresso, etc to fuel your expedition! …en route to Crawford Notch? — swing into The Sunrise Shack for a sit-down breakfast — or take your fuel to go like delicious whipped cream hot chocolate!

We Have stayed at the Star Light over 10x and they never disappoint. Always feel at home. Have never once been turned down for anything. We travel everywhere with our pup and they have always welcomed him. That’s greatly appreciated. Also located in one of the best spots. Highly recommend!

Excellent property….very clean and comfortable.

The Starlight lodge was a very clean, comfortable and cute motel. The room was very tastily decorated and comfortable. It was all hands off from the staff, but they made it all very easy. Access to the office and coffee was easy and options were great. No complaints and would definitely recommend this as a place for anyone staying in the area. Loved all the options for sitting out and enjoying the outdoors.
