This is such a beautiful park. Close to my family when visiting the area, and near lots of shopping, murals in Chemainus, and the Forest Museum in Duncan. If traveling to the island, the Tsawwassen ferry to Duke Point Terminal is the closest.

We camped for two weeks here and everyone had the best time! We were hosting a small family reunion and managment was great at accommodating us and our group. From mini golf, the pool, and two really great playgrounds, there was something for each one of my kids, aged 14, 8 and 3, to do. I loved the well treed spot we were in and we were also close to the playground and pool. The facilities were well maintained and exceptionally clean. We will definitely be booking in again for next summer!

This is the WORST campsite ever. First of all in the night some other campsite came to ours and dumped water in our tent. Another thing is that when we woke up there were holes in our tent. Dont EVER come here.

We thoroughly enjoyed the site, the amenities and the location! We had a very large campsite with old forest trees all around it and, yet, we were only a short walk from the playground and swimming pool. Other amenities include a lovely mini-golf course, a convenience store, and a great hiking trail down to a river. One night, we had a movie in the park which was child friendly.

Country Maples RV Park is a hidden Gem near Chemainus, BC. I asked to be put in the area near the kid's area and pool. My site was large and had power and water. Sani station nearby. The main feature is a huge grass playing field, A swimming pool and 2 playgrounds. Excellent family vacation spot. I found it very clean, and well managed with friendly staff. There is a store and summer activities on weekends. It is on the Chemainus River which was too shallow for swimming just now. Recommend it!

I don’t understand the hype about this place. It is dusty and the spot they put us in was on ‘Arizona Road’ the name speaks for itself. We were next to a nosy long term resident. I originally made 2 bookings and when I tried to cancel the second one they wouldn’t cancel it even though they had a waitlist for those dates, charged me full price for 3 nights (x 2 sites) so I was out over $500, never an offer of even a partial refund. Pretty sure the sites sat empty even though they easily could have rebooked the sites. Totally unreasonable to deal with. Even with the $500+ loss, we still didn’t stay here, that should tell you what you need to know about this place.

2 washrooms for a campground of 100+ sites. Not enjoyable to have to walk with your child super far just to use to essential washroom. all the extras are fun but not necessary. The non-covid friendly movie night they put on doesn’t make sense if they have half the washroom stalls crossed off due to ‘covid’. Seems like a huge money grab, saving water with less toilets? charging people to use their sami dumps? don’t offer tenting campsites if you don’t have actually washroom accommodations.. I will never go again due to their extremely high prices and lack of essential toilets.

3 families requested to be together over the May long weekend (booked and requested it in March and again when we got our reminder email). Upon arrival we found out we were all over the place. This is not the only time they've done this and other families had the same issue. For that reason I give it a 2 because I refuse to camp there again.
