I booked this hotel for the pool and it was not open when we wanted to use it. I know things happen but I feel like they should give some of our money back.

The desk clerk gave us options for dinner. When we went out we found many places to eat,well lite, and a nice area. The hotel location was hard to see from the road.

Near downtown KC in an industrial area near interstate 35 though I heard no noise the one night I was there. Not next to a courthouse. The annoying design with the sink in the room and the toilet)shower in an enclosed room. Clean and typical HI Express. My friend's mattress was fine but mine sank in the middle. Typical Express breakfast but they never replaced the empty cinnamon rolls while I was eating.

I think overall this hotel is a good value for the price you pay, you can't expect perfect. However, when I first got into my room it smelled kind of musty and felt humid. Both the tile and carpet were sticky so I felt like I couldn't take my shoes off or else my feet would get dirty. Just a weird feeling and it seems like the carpets just need cleaned. The TV didn't work at first but someone came up and got it fixed. The worst part was that the shower didn't drain properly so you just had to stand in a pool of your dirty water, which I didn't enjoy much. The staff moved us to a different room that was perfect and I enjoyed my stay! Also the location is very obscure like it's close to a shopping area but also in the middle of an industrial zone. I would stay here again if I were ever in KC and needing a cheap place to stay.

The rooms were nice and clean. The beds were comfy. I was really impressed with the dove amenities. Staff were nice and welcoming. Breakfast was yummy. The only thing that I did not like about my stay here, was requesting my trash be taken and being told to empty it in the trash outside the main entrance myself.
