Klifton Crown, Lachen

Worst hotel of Lachen.As per TripAdvisor,this is 3rd best hotel in Lachen.Now i suspect on TripAdvisor team,they are not crosscheck and rank the hotels.From today, TripAdvisor has lost my trust.There is no light,how can to recharge my mobile or camera and catch photos of Gurudongmar lake.The purpose to visit Lachen if not solved,how can we say that this is best hotel. No TV was working for kids. When i complained ***ager of hotel group,he listened and not solved the issues in room.He avoided my next calls to solve the issue and atleast never said sorry.so dirtiest hospitality. No intercom & no drinking water in room.only bed to sleep !!

Worst. The staff horrible. It seems the ***agement does not bother how their establishment is run. The staff looked fit to be in a road side cheap dhabha. Their personal hygiene was non-existent. They were unclean & unkempt. They cleaned the cutlery with the same rag piece with which they wiped the table. They were to be told ***y times to clean the table. Felt like committing when needed to enter the kitchen for some warm water. Left the Hotel with a day of stay left at personal loss

worst kind of hospitality u ever fell ,no staff cares for your needs .the day when we checked in no electricity was there ,stayed whole night blacked out. Food was terrible and cooked in an unhygienic way. hotel ***ager ws found drunk and all he cares is charging money for pathetic services offered. A BIG " NO " FOR ANYBODY PLANNING TO STAY .

We arrived at 7 pm in this hotel , no one in the reception, no ***ager and no responsible person arround the hotel. After 15/20 minutes few intoxicated (alcoholic)staff came to give our room keys and there behaviour was very strange. After enter the room ,we noticed the rooms are very dirty,bad smells, dirty toilets without water. Did not find anyone to report. Then one alcoholic staff came to invited us for dinner,but all foods arebad smelling. We asked one of the staff about the food ,he replied us , sorry those foods from previous days. Our kids are crying for food and found some Maggie from out to served our kids . Overall very bad experience,and if plan to go for this hotel please change your booking. We are the not only one suffer, another guests are also facing the same.

Klifton Crown is in Lachen bazar , central place. They provide all basic amenities and most importantly they have power backup. Most of the tourist visit Lachen for a night to visit Gurudongmar and Mt Katau , so spending less than 24 hours is not that difficult. Staffs are extremely cooperative,

Basic hotel with limited facilities owing to the fact that it is in quite a remote location. Keep your expectations low and you wont have any complains with the place. Decent rooms, good enough to spend the night and reduce the travel fatigue. They can’t provide heating (it is not mentioned on the listing wither) due to local regulations and lack of fire safety equipments With all its flaws we had a decent time at this place mostly owing to Rahul and Raj who were immediately available for all our requests. I hope the ***agement takes as good care of them as they do for the guests.

We stayed here for a night on the way to gurudongmar lake. Hotels in lachen are no-frills, going by that standard, Klifton Crown was actually good. The deluxe rooms were big, clean and carpeted. Standard rooms face the road but these are far smaller. We had a breakfast, lunch and dinner plan. The food is basic but tasty. Have to mention Rahul who was very helpful throughout out stay, from getting the TV cable set up in the room to giving us warm drinking water. Nice chap.

Extremely basic hotel since we were to stay for a few hours in the night only before leaving early morning for planned tour. Pros: Staff is very polite and professional. Created a homely vibe. Food is basic but tasty and piping hot. Gave us tea and sandwiches to carry at 5 am in the morning since we had to leave for Gurudongmar Lake. Suggestions for improvement: The rooms on first floor strangely had an open ventilation above the door due to which there was no privacy. This was weird. There should be a heater provided if required by guests. If someone is staying in Lachen for a few days (and not just the night) then there may be better hotels available for a bit higher price. If just for night but if one can spend then one can opt for better rooms here on the higher floors.
