Abbey Court

The toilet bowl was full of broken glass. When I pointed this out to the staff I was told that there was an office party the night before and the previous guests must have done it. I don't know why the bathroom wasn't cleaned in between guests. The room light was also broken. I used to stay here a lot, but the broken glass incident was unacceptable and dangerous. .

We have stayed at Abbey Court two separate times now, in two different seasons of the year. The rooms are clean, cozy, and spacious. Staff is always helpful and attentive, many are very friendly and entertaining. Breakfast has been consistently impeccable. We enjoy spending time in the bar for nightcaps or in the lounge with hot drinks in the mornings. Beautiful location, décor, and grounds outside. It is close to downtown and to The Thatch and Bistro 41, two of our favourite local spots. Looking forward to returning!

Lovely, friendly staff. Nice breakfast, continental breakfast a little bit scarce. Also thought the cappuccino at the kiosk was very expensive.

We loved our stay at Abbey Court. The accommodations were wonderful, the food was great - but their superpower is the people. Everyone we interacted with were genuinely warm and welcoming. They made our stay truly memorable.

My family and I were en route to Co Clare from Dublin when we had to make an emergency stop as our 3yo son fell ill suddenly. We needed a room ASAP and thankfully the Abbey Court Hotel was close by and had a family room available. From the moment we checked in, the staff (April and Kathleen) could not be more helpful, in fact I'd say they went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed to take care of our son. When the day staff changed over to the night team, Pat called our room to introduce himself and let us know he was only downstairs if we needed help with anything at all (especially finding a doctor) which was a huge comfort as we were not familiar with the area. The next morning at breakfast the fantastic service continued. When we arrived in the dining room, we were greeted by a lovely girl (I'm only sorry I didn't get her name) who offered to sit us in the drawing room which was quiter then the main dining room (we also have a 16 week old baby so it was much appreciated! ). I am very grateful to all the wonderful team at the Abbey Court Hotel, you made a very stressful situation for us that little bit easier, and as a mum of 2 young children, I can tell you it makes all the difference. Keep up the good work and my family and I look forward to visiting again in the future hopefully in less stressful circumstances ;-) !!!

Great one night stay at this lovely hotel while attending a wedding locally. Staff were very accommodating throughout our stay. The breakfast was lovely. Our room was very clean and cosy. Highly recommend this hotel to solo travellers, couples and families.

The rooms were excellent, very comfortable beds and large bathroom. Their main asset is the staff. Each person was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was substantial.
