I booked a room at the hotel at the very last minute due to an unsettling experience with an Airbnb rental. I arrived late at night, clearly upset, and the staff could not have been kinder: they were friendly and welcoming, and they upgraded me to a large room at the end of the third floor, where I would be assured of a quiet stay. I was beginning to relax when the phone in my room rang: the Airbnb owner had called around to find out what hotel I was in, attempting to make further contact with me. (The staff didn't put the call through, btw; they were calling to see if I would take the call.) I was completely unnerved by this turn of events, but the staff handled it proactively, like true professionals: when I came downstairs after the call, Casey had already taken action to assure my safety and peace of mind. She explained that the hotel doors were locked, that she had alerted security of the incident, and that there was now a note in my file to tell the person, if they called again, that I had checked out. I was truly impressed by Casey's quick, proactive response to the situation: it made me feel safe and truly cared for. The hotel is lovely - clean, cheerful, and comfortable - but the staff are just amazing. This is the only place I'll stay when I return to Northampton: the staff, and especially Casey, are a credit to the Marriott brand, and Marriott is lucky to have them!
