Westone Manor Hotel

The staff were very friendly and welcoming and Subodh was very informative and helpful when checking into my room. We settled into the room very well with no problems and whenever we had a question the staff were very happy to help. We had a drink in the bar in the evening and Samuel was very polite and friendly and made our drinks very well and had excellent customer service skills.

This is a great venue for a baby shower or would be suitable for many large group gatherings, with plenty of parking. Nice afternoon tea served around one big table in one large room by friendly staff. The room was cold, unfortunately, but it was January.

There is great improvement in service and rooms. Cleanliness is now topnotch, food is Good, and customer Care exceptional, it's a place worth checking out if you want value for your money , I will definitely be booking again ,

We stayed at Westone Manor for two nights with two rooms over the Christmas period to be near family and after reading reviews I was a quite apprehensive. On arrival we were met by the receptionist who effectively checked us in very efficiently. Our rooms were in the newer wing and although on the small side they were quite adequate for our needs and were spotlessly clean. The room had clearly been redecorated recently and had everything we required The bed was comfy and the quality of the bed linen and pillows was excellent. The bathroom was also spotless and the towels very good quality. Far better than our expectations. The reception area and corridors could do with an upgrade but it was very clean. We did not eat at the hotel. This is not a luxury hotel but for a short stopover it is excellent value for money

Booked an afternoon tea for my mums 70th birthday… place was empty! Cold throughout. No waiter or waitress, served by the reception man and the maintanence man who was cleaning the windows! Had to ask for plates. No one around, had to keep looking for help. No management to talk to ‘apparently it’s Christmas and everyone if off celebrating… it’s the last Saturday before Christmas the place should be heaving, or they should have never taken the booking!!! Not the experience we were looking forward to at all! Whilst leaving my sister fell over on their slippery wooden floor with a loose mat! One man who didn’t say or do much. Again no management available. Wouldn’t give me managers name. I will be following this up!!!

Took my Mum here for Afternoon Tea today for her 70th Birthday with the family. Was not the experience I was hoping for and expecting. The car park was empty. We walked into Reception and was greeted by the man who also served us with Afternoon Tea. The room was cold and smelt musty. No one else was there. We had to ask for plates. We were left on our own. Had to wait for the maintenance man to ask if we were ok and to ask for butter. Also for extra coffee. We didn't pay the full price and was disgusted with the service. The excuses of why it was quiet and lack of staff was appalling. To top it all off on the way out I slipped on the floor and mat in Reception and fell over. My knee is bruised and throbbing and my suede noot is all scuffed. Would not recommend going.

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Was met by Sam behind the bar. Very professional and went through the menu and drinks avaliable and what times they're open for food and drink. Food was great! Would definitely come back again.

Couldn't book because they don't bother to answer the phone. You just get a repeated "we apologize for the delaay' as though you were trying to contact British Gas or something grim. They also haven't updated their website since last year. How are they still in business?
