The only downside is that if you have difficulty walking or climbing stairs this place is not for you otherwise our visit was excellent! Our room was lovely and clean and the staff were extremely pleasant. The view is worth the stay and we had a lovely balcony!

This hotel had beautiful views but- it ends there. Broken and outdated furniture- ants- musty odor- right on a street and extremely noisy. Had to take taxis everywhere and that became quite costly. Not convenient to anything. Pictures on TripAdvisor are soooo misleading. Staff - Maria- Ri- Jatu were wonderful - woman with the beehive hairdo not so much. Was afraid every night a car or truck would lose control and crash into our room. Did not feel safe in the room. Restaurant for breakfast was just ok- Jatu worked very hard. Minimal menu- minimal eggs. Wonder what planet the rave reviews from travelers are from. Pool was dirty- So- I would call this hotel a dump.

I don’t know if I can trust Trip Advisor anymore! We booked this hotel upon your recommendations with 4 couples, and it was an awful experience. From the descriptions on your site, we were expecting a lovely boutique hotel! It probably wasn’t updated since it opened in 1970, and it is truly falling apart! The staff was nice..they tried, but they couldn’t make up for the conditions we experienced. Examples…total sp**** rooms, ants in the room, unkempt entrances, no coffee availability before 8 a.m., breakfast, on our first morning was not served for an hour because the chefs didn’t show up…that evening the bar and restaurant closed because they didn’t have staff, one umbrella at the pool, pool water wasn’t clean…..need I say more? The only positive it has going for it is the view of the Charlotte Amalia harbor…spectacular! Hoping, a large chain buys it and totally rebuilds it.

The view is excellent! The staff is friendly and the female bar tender was exceptionally nice. The problem is that there are sidewalks and the drivers speed around corners and curves with little regard to people trying to walk. The hotel advertised free breakfast, but that is only for one day. It would have been good to have several outside areas in the shade.

Very nice view, however, was on a very busy street, so we could hear traffic all night. Also, had no water one morning so we could not shower! Only other issue was that being up on the mountain, you are far from everything. And, taxis are so very expensive!!! Would not stay here again.
