Enjoyed staying for the 3rd time.
Nice hotel with excellent service.
We quickly felt at home again, especially because of the excellent service by Lola.

A great menu with plenty of choice. 10/10 for the delicious food, and Excellent service. The chef Mel came out to check we were happy with everything. Such a friendly team of staff. Couldn't fault anything and Will definitely be back again, thanks 😊

Brilliant weekend spent at this historic hotel. As ever the rooms and food were excellent. Shout out to Lola whose attention and energy made my 60th special and to Sam who crossed the road to get us a pack of cards. Outstanding and thank you all. Colin

We stayed in the Farleigh room, the room itself was gorgeous. I can’t fault the bed or the amenities, however if you book this room please be mindful that it is located opposite the main building. Only thing to note is your neighbours upstairs, if you are a light sleeper I wouldn’t book this room. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the options were great, the building and surroundings of the George Inn are really remarkable. It can be a maze trying to find someone to check in and check out, so just walk into the bar area and find someone! Staff are really lovely and polite.

The room was lovely. Very pretty. Pillows lumpy though. No water until second day so I thought it was not supplied then realised they must have forgotten. If you are tea drinker then only full fat milk available - ugh, which is odd. Lots of herbal teas, almond, soya and oat milk though. Food very nice both evening and breakfast - especially enjoyed the Shakshuka for breakfast. We lazed about so did not our room cleaned but would have been nice to have had more tea and coffee. They could just leave it outside the room or knock. That's how we got the unexpected water. We could have gone down to ask for more tea etc but it's a pain to have to ask for this or that. So if staying, take some semi skimmed or skimmed milk with you plus a few extra tea bags.

Brilliant customer service and lovely food. All the staff made us feel very welcome and would go above and beyond for us. Kind,polite and very friendly pub. There was a real vibe. So much variety to choose from. My partner had the black current cocktail and she instantly said this isn’t watered down like most places. The place it’s kept to it tradition and the decor hasn’t changed one bit. A must visit place and you will be missing out if you don’t try.

What a fabulous place to stay, one of the best pubs we've ever stayed in, so full of history and character. We had 2 nights staying in the Carthusian suite, absolutely beautiful room, lovely and cosy with a great bathroom. Breakfast is great with plenty of choices to suit all and we had evening meal on the second night which was excellent too. The staff are all amazing and so helpful, we would definitely stay here again, couldn't fault anything whatsoever, thank you.

We stayed for one night in August in the main building Coombe/King Charles room up the wobbly stairs! What a lovely room, all beams & low doors - very historic. We slept like logs - the bed was very comfortable! It was lovely to stay in such an beautiful building and room. We had a lovely evening dinner there & a fabulous breakfast. Overall very good value for money. The location was quiet and we enjoyed a walk around the lovely village the next morning before leaving.
