This is a nice, smaller, hotel. We were in town for a wedding and reserved the last available room they had. The lobby is very nicely set up with a comfortable sitting area on one side and the breakfast area on the other. The pool happened to be unavailable during our stay but they did call a day before to let us know and would cancel our reservation without a fee. We didn't plan on using it so that wasn't a problem. One of the issues was that the room smelled like someone had left a gym bag of dirty socks in it. We opened the window to ventilate it while I looked the place over for any old laundry. I couldn't find any and the smell lessened or we just grew accustomed to it. The room had a gas fireplace but the gas was turned off. Since it was the end of May and a warm weekend I didn't bother to see if it could be turned on. Unfortunately we couldn't leave the window open the entire time because we had a ground floor room facing the parking lot. Long story short, the smell never left the room and seemed worse the second day. I did let them know about it but the hotel was fully booked and couldn't do anything about it. The morning breakfast ran from 6:30 - 10:00 and was okay for a hot breakfast. There was biscuits and sausage gravy, waffles and bagels offered on the hot side. Cereal, yogurts, hard boiled eggs, and bananas on the cold side of things. They had coffee, tea and hot chocolate drinks along with orange juice and milk. It would have been nice to have scrambled eggs and bacon or sausage but they didn't. All in all it was a nice place but we were happy to leave after the second night.
