The room is average, but it has Tongan characteristics, but it is quite old and expensive. It includes meals, but the boss and employees are not clear and made a mistake with the free breakfast. Before I ordered, I confirmed again whether it was included in our room, but I was asked to pay for it. Tonga is a bit outrageous

Better than expected, good service. Continental breakfast is available, but you can add whatever you want for extra money. The balcony view is first-rate. It is recommended to rent a balcony room.

The hotel faces the sea across a road. There is a more upscale restaurant below. There are not many rooms on the second floor, and the rooms are clean. It would be better if you choose a sea view room, you can watch the first ray of sunshine in the world when you get up early, it is worth it.

Come to Tonga Island and book here! It is the fastest to sell out for a reason! The name of the store is as it says, Seaview is right by the sea The hygiene conditions are much better than other stores, and the staff are very enthusiastic

The overall service is OK, but there is a distance from the place to eat. There is no lunch in the hotel, and there is only toast for breakfast

Pretty little hotel on the beachfront at Nuka'alofa. The deluxe rooms at the front have lovely views over the water. The standard room we had at the back of the hotel had no view, but then we didn't pay the big bucks. We also had noise early in the morning from the staff coming in through the back door. I was surprised at the high ratings this hotel receives though that is probably due to a severe shortage of accommodation in Nuka'alofa. The 2 issues I had with this accommodation are; Our room had possibly the firmest mattress ever made. I asked if we could get moved to another room but was told that all the mattresses came from the same supplier. The other complaint I have is about the included Continental breakfast which can only be described as stingy. It consisted of one piece of toast, either a cup of tea, coffee or orange juice which was in fact orange cordial. We ordered off the menu to supplement our Continental breakfast and my eggs Florentine of poached eggs on wet spinach placed on a slice of soggy untoasted white bread was not edible. We didn't eat breakfast there again! There were some good points; The lobster cream soup we had on our first night was absolutely delicious and we were given some complimentary bread and dip. Friends in a front balcony room loved the view and a slightly more comfortable bed. The staff were all incredibly pleasant and obliging. Great location a short walk from the centre of town.

Wonderful accomodation and restaurant with a staff that lived up to the name ‘friendly islanders’. The view , when you wake up in the morning , is paradisial. The area is very quiet and safe all around and the walkway along the waterfront is nicely done . Well worth a visit!

Me and my wife stayed here and found the staff so helpful and friendly. They organised a car for us for the day so we could explore the island. We also ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel and it was always top notch and couldn't be faulted in any way id personally recommend the potato soup and the Lamb. If we were ever to come back to Tonga this is where we would stay

Perfect spot for easy access to the town area of Nuku’alofa by ten min walk past the royal palace. Room functional and clean with its massive bed and small balcony. We had the last available room which was garden view but still lovely. Seaview rooms would be very nice. Staff incredibly friendly and welcoming. Amazing deck area with outdoor seating for dinner and breakfast was really stunning. Overlooks the foreshore with lovely walkway and people even spotted whales breaching right in front of hotel. Fab cocktails for happy hour. Good food and lovely fresh snapper.

The Seaview Lodge was such a charming little hidden gem with gorgeous view of the blue-green ocean and we loved the authentic, traditional, rustic vibe of the lodge adorned with whale statues! We also loved the service from the staff, who were very hospitable and friendly and the food here was excellent, as were the drinks (especially the pina colada and blue wave cocktail!) and they did not hesitate to arrange for a most wonderful massage at the Island Glow facility. Beach towel services were helpful as we requested one before heading out to explore the beautiful beach of Tonga and they do have a washing and drying service for your wetsuits/swimsuits. We stayed in the regular room, which were equipped with AC and TV and a nice shower facility and the bed were comfy. However, the Ocean View Room which we stayed in later, was the real highlight of the show and we wished we could've stayed in the Ocean View Room longer. The balcony was definitely one of our favorite part, as we loved drinking tea (yes they provide a boiling pot) as we looked over the balcony, with an unobstructed view of the stunning ocean. The location is definitely ideal for exploring Nuku'alofa as it is only merely a 10-15 minutes walk from the city and for walking along the ocean (there is a wonderful little trail outside just across from the Seaview Lodge). If we were to return to Tonga, we would definitely be staying at this resort again, for the convenience and the view and their restaurant are the only one that is open on Sundays, which means everything else is closed on Sunday! There is also parking across and this place checks off every of our needs and we are a very satisfied customer of this facility. Will definitely return again!!

We spent one night here en-route to Foa Island. Room was great nice and clean, balcony overlooking the sea, located on a quiet road, easy walk into town. Staff were very friendly & helpful. They have a nice bar and restaurant on site.

Having never been to Tonga, I relied on reviews like this to choose Seaview Lodge. I'm so glad I chose it! Excellent hospitality and communication, delicious restaurant onsite, comfortable and quiet rooms, air-conditioning if needed, within a pretty property located very close to the King's palace, just across the street from a walking trail along the sea, and a short walking distance to places to visit in downtown. Highly recommend you stay here. I stayed here twice, when I first arrived on the main island and before I traveled to stay on one of the smaller Tonga islands for several days (Eua), and then I stayed here the the day before my flight left Tonga after returning from the island of Eua. The first stay was in a standard first level room with no views. It was comfortable, clean, great water pressure, tasty in-room coffee, bottled water, safe, and very quiet. Just no balcony or view. My second stay for one night before I traveled back home was in an upstairs, ocean view balcony room that I wish I could have stayed longer in. Pictures are of this room.

Simple grounds with lovely patio for drinks and dining, facing the sea of course. fresh delicious breakfast. i was staying a few days before the next leg of my journey. the staff will plan tours and trips for you. No beach to swim. nearby town isn’t much but there is a small vegetable market. not a luxury hotel but comfortable beds and nice bathroom.

Absolutely the best choice for our time in Tongatapu. The hotel had comfortable, clean rooms. The restaurant offers very good food. The staff was amazing, very supportive to help us work things out when flights got cancelled and we had to replan half of our trip. Would definitely recommend.

My wife and I had a celebration dinner at the Seaview Restaurant. The food and service was excellent. The ambiance was great, with dinner during the sunset hour and a great selection of background music—excellent value for the price. We recommend the grilled snapper.
