Barossa Palms Motel

Staying at the Barossa Palms Motel for my quick overnight stay in Nuriootpa was an unexpected surprise. This little gem is owned and operated by Elizabeth who is transforming the Barossa Palms into a welcoming, relaxing resort style accommodation. Her vision for the complex is a credit to her and whilst the outdoor areas are still a work in progress, it is clear to see that this little Oasis is going to appeal to everyone. For the families, she is establishing a children’s playground with the cutest and fun little baby goats and the new swimming pool will have you feeling that you could be in a resort in the desert outside Dubai. In the Reception area is a Coffee Bar and tables and chairs, a pool table, a relaxing Private lounge area and opposite, Elizabeth has a fully equipped gym. There is so much thought and expertise put into this ‘Wellness Area’ and it is a credit to Elizabeth and her team. To delve further into Elizabeth and her husband Dan’s vision and to see how, together with their team of workers they have transformed The Palms with their bare hands and hard work, I suggest you check out their Facebook Page which is also more than you could imagine and shows how The Barossa Palms will become a most sought after place to stay in the Barossa. Unlike any other accommodation, this family owned and run Motel exudes friendliness and care and ‘pocket rocket’ owner Elizabeth is a hands on, genuine and lovely person who has a keen eye for detail and I wish her well her final vision to transform her Motel into Resort Style Accommodation focusing on Wellness for the entire family to enjoy. There is also an Underground VIP Lounge which will blow your mind.  A unique draw card that you will not find elsewhere. Barossa Palms Motel will be on my list for a longer stay to enjoy the uniqueness of Elizabeth and Dan’s Barossa delight.

This motel is quite good for the money. The front office does not always have someone at the desk. I called and the very friendly receptionist appeared from not far away. We were "upgraded", given complimentary drinks and a face mask. I only speak English so I took a photo of the mask and put it in an app to translate the instructions. We were so taken with the extra bits and pieces I didn't check the room properly. Unfortunately, we only had one cup and no milk. By the time I realised the office was closed. The bathroom is lovely and modern but small. When using the bathroom during the night, I managed to bang by forehead on the basin. The towels were fluffy, sheets clean and they supplied shampoo and conditioner. Best sort them out before getting in. I struggled to get the peel tops off in the shower. Receptionist gave us a list for places of interest and food. Overall the stay was good. It was clean and the missed items may have been an isolated incident. Washing machine was out of action on this occasion.

Our stay at the Barossa Palms Motel was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. It felt like a true home away from home. What really made the experience stand out was the staff - they were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Highly recommend Barossa Palms Motel for anyone visiting the area!

Have stayed at this Hotel several times. Friendly staff, comfortable rooms, great location. Lots of good food nearby, and well priced.

Although it’s a motel but it provided most of the amenities needed! Only drawback was the toilet a bit small

The place was beautiful and the cleaning lady was so friendly and kind. It’s amazing to go somewhere were it’s family oriented and everyone was so happy

Fabulous little gem. Newly renovated with a beautiful pool area being finished, this place is adorable. The staff are brilliant and very helpful. There are little spaces all around where you can curl up with a good book, or a glass of wine and relax. I very much recommend staying here and we will return. Thank you
