I particularly appreciated the large windows that showcased the surrounding natural beauty – waking up to misty hills was truly magical! The beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were spotless, with a supply of hot water to beat the chilly weather. The villa has a cozy common area with a fireplace, perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The garden is well-maintained, providing a peaceful spot to enjoy your morning tea or coffee. Free Wi-Fi was available, though I recommend disconnecting for a while to soak in the tranquility of the setting. The on-site restaurant served delicious, freshly prepared meals. Their Sri Lankan breakfast was a highlight – hearty, flavorful, and made with love. The staff was accommodating to dietary preferences, ensuring a delightful culinary experience. Villa Mount Royal is a perfect choice for those seeking a blend of comfort and natural beauty in Nuwara Eliya. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway or a family in need of a peaceful retreat, this villa ticks all the boxes.

Horrible place to stay

Dear Team, Actually Villa Mount Royal stole my heart. Had an absolute blast staying here for my vacation. The staff were top-notch - super friendly, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed. The place was spotless, calm, and just perfect for unwinding.Food was a treat. Deliciuos meals and refreshing beverages exceeded expectations. And kudos to the eco-friendly vibe - loved the sustainable touches everywhere. All in all, Villa Mount Royal, top-tier hospitality. Amazing hotel ♥️♥️♥️ This is thre star hotel but 5stat service. We sre arrived to the gotel 25th December with my family they are gave worm welcom for us special for my kids they are happy everything. Delicious food and wonderful room. To give the benefit of doubt to the property we checked in on Christmas Day and checked out the next day. The access road to the property was a narrow and steep dirt road that was quite difficult to drive on. Hopefully this is only a temporary situation. The staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived. But everything went downhill from that point onwards. The lights along the narrow corridor leading to the room was not working and despite informing the staff they were not rectified. We had to walk to our room using our handphone lights to see the keyhole to open our room door. Most of the power points in the rooms were not working and the Wifi sucks. There was no shower gel for the shower and we had to use a poorly packed hand soap for the shower. There was a party in the attic above our room and the thumping on the floor went on till late into the night. To make matters worst the ceiling light was flickering through out the night despite it being switched off as if it was syncing with the thumping upstairs. We were told that breakfast will be served at 7 am in the morning but when we went downstairs at 7.15 am there was no breakfast and we had a hard time communicating with the staff at the kitchen that we are supposed to have breakfast. I won't go into the details of the so call American Breakfast promised. As I have said at the beginning perhaps it was because of the Christmas period and there is a shortage of staff.

An amazing property overlooking farm land, misty greenery and an old school. This place has everything you could need during your stay. Also the comfiest beds in Sri Lanka and well furnished rooms. Vnod is a lovely host too. I highly recommend staying here
