The Blackberry Cottage

We informed your staff that we needed to cancel the second night of our booking because my husband’s mother was admitted to the hospital, and we had to urgently book return flight tickets to Amman. Unfortunately, the staff refused to cancel, which is unacceptable. In addition to this, the room conditions were extremely poor and completely different from what was shown in the photos: • The room was dirty. • The bathroom was filthy, with toilet paper left unflushed upon our arrival. • The bed cover was torn. • The TV did not work. • The Wi-Fi kept disconnecting. • The fridge was in a terrible state — very dirty and unhygienic. I personally work at one of the largest hotels in Amman, and I know very well that cancellations can be made under such circumstances. Refusing to do so shows that your hotel is simply prioritizing money over guest satisfaction and basic hospitality. This experience has been deeply frustrating, and it is especially unacceptable for guests who are on their honeymoon. Your hotel should not be advertised as suitable for such occasions.

The very pleasanrt receptionist welcomed us warmly and friendly. We felt right at home. The breakfast was lovingly prepared and the table was decorated with fresh flowers. We received valuable hiking tips, and all our wishes were fulfilled. The accommodation is located in the middle of a beautiful tea plantation. It is highly recommended!

We had an amazing honeymoon experience at The Blackberry Cottage & it’s still like a fairy dream to us ! Me and my wife enjoyed a lot at the stay ! The service was solid and superb ! Friendly Staff. The surrounding view is exceptional with the Shanthipura Eagle’s Viewpoint situated at a walking distance to the hotel. Can recommend 10/10

We had a lovely stay at Blackberry Cottage in Nuwara Eliya. It’s a beautiful, cozy little place with a charming touch. Each room had hot water and a heater, which made it super comfortable. Lahiru and Thivanka who helped us through out the stay was incredibly helpful and friendly. We even got to watch the sunrise right from the balcony—such a peaceful moment! Perfect for honeymooners, but families will love it too. Highly recommend for a quiet, scenic getaway.

We had really good time at blackberry cottage. We booked for BB and later ordered dinner, but all foods were perfect. They provide us all whenever we need. There was only a one guy to handle waiter job, cashier and all but he is super nice and very humble. The rooms are small but very pretty, bathroom is clean and tidy as I wanted. There was a heater too at the room. Beds are comfortable.
