Very original place with hotel in the renovated tea factory. The location is unique with an amazing view. Rooms are well decorated and clean, food is excellent, staff super sweet and very helpful. The tea time around 4:30/5:00 was really appreciated!

The Tea and Experience Factory was turned into a lovely hotel called "Kabaragalla" in the middle of the Piduruthalagala cloud forest on the east side, with amazing panoramic views, mist cooler fresh air, and a mix of superb hospitality by the manager and all the personnel. They are extremely flexible and offered us complete trust in our stay. You're all amazing. Rooms are very beautiful and clean. Thank you, Chathuranga, for taking us on a waterfall hike in unspoilt wilderness with moderately cold temperatures in one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. The food was fantastic. There is no way to think twice about everything that comes with two leaves and a bud. For all of us, evening high tea is a valuable service. Thank you, Nalin, for the excellent tea-making demonstration. It was a great lesson to my kids I'm hoping to see you again soon.  Thank you very much.

We visited the property for my birthday, absolutely one of the best getaways. old tea factory turned into a hotel with protecting its value. rooms are very clean and excellent service. staff was good. A must-visit place in Sri Lanka is Mandaramnuwara the misty city. A wonderful welcome too.

We visited the tea and experience factory about a week ago in a pretty large group. The staff was wonderful and took care of us and the concept of staying at a tea factory. The views and garden was also lovely. Sadly, these were the only good things I could say about the hotel. The rooms as comfortable as they were with heating, hot water and beautiful views, were not soundproof at all. We could hear conversations in the next room, people snoring in other rooms and were woken up at 6am to kids running up and down and playing. The menus could have been planned better, though the food tasted good, it was a big mix of multiple cuisines spread across a few dishes where you will have to choose between a rice/ pasta with an indian curry and a veg chop suey. These sadly werent even the worst thing about this place. We could have forgiven this. The manager made our experience even worse. There was only one common area in the hotel other than the dining room which was the bar. When we asked to sit there the manager refused saying that guests will be walking through there and can hear us. Instead we were made to sit out in the cold in the night on plastic chairs. Wrapped in as many layers as we could just to play some boardgames and hang out. On our second night, upon refusing to sit out in the cold we were made to sit in their engine room which smelled of oil and cement and had a single tube light. Aparently the dining room was being set up for the next meal and therefore we couldnt sit there. The walk through the warm dining room into the cold, dark, unwelcoming engine room was depressing. I only wish I took a picture as anyone would be horrified. Finally our last straw was being denied being allowed to sit out in the garden and have our afternoon tea (when the weather is warmer) the reasons to which I still do not understand. This hotel was definitely not worth the price you pay for it.

Superb location if a little difficult to get too but well worth the trip for quirky vibes and views . Rooms are really nice and well laid out with some great views over the tea plantation . Dinner and Breakfast were Buffet style with a good and varied selection at both . Staff were exceptional and arranged an early morning factory tour as we had arrived late and had an early departure next morning ( we would have liked an extra night ), the factory tour is very informative and its really interesting to see the tea production from leaf to cup well worth a visit if you need a break from the tourist hustle
