The place is brilliant! The staff are 11/10 with a special shout out to Ravi the butler who made sure that we had everything that we needed and went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay. He took care to make sure that me and my wife were looked after on our honeymoon. Creating a brilliant atmosphere and sharing tips and tricks to ensure that we were having a fantastic time. My other half is an insect enthusiast and he went out hunting for interning species for her. Genuinely Lavender House is so so lucky to have someone with such a heart looking after its guests. It truly made the place. The chef was also out of this world. He made sure that everything was fully customised and breakfast was one of the best that I’ve ever had! Staff were 11/10 and genuinely could no have been looked after better. The only niggle was hot water. Which was in no means a criticism of the staff in the slightest. We had no adequate supply of hot water for our stay. Since the room had a bath we could not fill it to wash. This was quite a let down when spending so much on stay. I recommend checking in to ensure that this is fixed if you’re staying. However, when fixed the place will be out of this world! Ps. Please also note there is no onsite bar at the time of writing. If you book an all inclusive package. There is no alcohol included. However Ravi went out with some cash to purchase for us.

This was my first time in the Sri Lankan countryside, and what an incredible stay we had at Lavender House. The bungalow itself is absolutely stunning, a unique blend of luxury and old-world charm, surrounded by beautifully kept grounds and just minutes away from the tea plantations. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. Saman, the General Manager, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, he truly is a credit to Lavender House and would return just for his service. Our butler, Ravindra, was equally outstanding, ensuring every detail of our stay was taken care of. The food was phenomenal. My partner is Sri Lankan, and the team went out of their way to prepare all her favorite local dishes, every meal was cooked to perfection. We live in Dubai, so life can often feel hectic, if you’re looking for a place to truly relax, recharge, and find peace, I couldn’t recommend Lavender House more highly. It’s more than just a stay; it’s an experience that captures the heart, culture, and warmth of Sri Lanka. Thank you to the entire team for making our visit so special.
