Katie and the amazing Wisteria team worked so hard to make my wedding day amazing! Everything was perfect. The food was 10/10 and they all worked so hard to make the day run smoothly. They deserve more than 5*. Anyone looking for a wedding venue should 100% look here!

We popped in for lunch on our way to see family. The menu was great for what we wanted. We had creamy cauliflower soup with a cheese scone, followed by a cheese & Ham sandwich., accompanied by kettle crisps and side salad. It was huge, and we could easily have shared one. The ambience is lovely, staff polite & attentive, and the owner popped by to say hello. Thank you all. We will be back.

My family party of 11 came for afternoon tea for my mum’s birthday. There was so much food! The sandwiches were huge a tasty; the scones were freshly baked and still warm; the cakes were fresh from a local supplier and the coffee was quality from Two Chimps. The ‘wisteria eton mess’ was a welcome addition. The only thing I would suggest is a slight variation on the cake choice - the cakes were delicious but they were all sponge cakes; maybe a brownie or a flapjack to mix things up would be good. Overall, great quality and great value.

I've used the Wisteria a few times for some relatively small informal meetings recently. For any local clubs out there who conduct committee or similar meetings I think it is worth talking to the team at the Wisteria about reserving some space. The bar's good and the staff, friendly and accommodating.

We are attending a wedding at the hotel later in the year so went to look around as we were in the area Booked lunch The food was excellent and nicely presented The staff were very helpful and went "the extra mile" Looking forward to our next visit

The Wisteria has only recently reintroduced weekday lunches, for which there is already a good range of venues in Oakham town centre. The new a la carte menu provided a wide and interesting range of dishes in addition to a daily special and 'catch of the day'. We reluctantly passed over the tempting starters. Each main came with well-chosen accompanying vegetables, though other side dishes were available if required. We all enjoyed our meals, which were well presented and tasty. The portion sizes were adequate, but left room for similiar quality desserts. The service was friendly and efficient, and the prices good value for the high quality of the cuisine.

Stayed here as a family member was celebrating their birthday with an event at this hotel. The staff went over and above to make sure everyone enjoyed the party. The food was amazing and everyone said what a lovely day it was. As for our overnight stay the young man who checked us in was welcoming and efficient and our rooms were ready by lunchtime. The room was spacious and clean and the bed very comfortable we had a lovely nights sleep after the excitement of the day. Breakfast was plentiful and the full English was very good. A special mention to Marina who we met at lunchtime in the bar and at breakfast the next day. She provided excellent customer service and was very friendly and efficient. Will definitely stay at the Wisteria again!!

Had a wonderful stay at the Wisteria Hotel for a special family event. Could not fault anything about our stay. Staff were lovely, especially Marina who does bar and breakfast. Had a gorgeous buffet at our family party. Our room was extremely comfortable, especially the enormous bed. Breakfast was very good. Catered for everyone with pastries, cereals, fruit plus the cooked items. Really recommend this hotel, and would love to return.
