We were the wedding DJs at Oakley Hall Hotel last night for Stuart & Joanne. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and I cannot recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a truly remarkable experience. From the moment I walked in to the moment we left, everything was simply perfect.

Great hotel, beautiful grounds. The staff were very friendly & helpful, breakfast was tasty with plenty of options, especially for vegetarians. Bed was extremely comfortable & room large with a fantastic view. Would absolutely recommend

Afternoon tea as good as it gets! Great tea, cakes in particular outstanding. Well worth a visit easily on par with the big London Hotels. Lots of food seconds if you require, a selection of teas. Lovely venue. Helpful, friendly, informative staff.

Visited for a family Sunday Roast Dinner yesterday. Beautiful taste, big portions and very well presented. The entire team are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The immaculate lawns and building are very grand. Definitely worth a visit.

Sadly, we were expecting more. Our Sunday Afternoon Tea could have been better! On arrival there seemed to be confusion as to where we were sitting. A men and a women seemed to be competing as to who was in charge, and who should decide where we sat. The, I think but could be wrong, Russian lady won that battle, but sighed heavily when we explained that we had some dietary restrictions. Our Tea stands were from the 80's, and one was on not straight! But, where delivered by two lovely young ladies who explained our stand, they were a breath of fresh air - please let them meet and sit everyone! -The scones were nice, but the cakes underwhelming. Service was slow, and it looked like there were more managers than staff working that day, and that those managers really didn't want to be there. We struggled to get attention to order more tea, even after we were told refills were included. A brief respite came when an older gentleman called Gavin came an asked us if he could clear our stand, it was empty, to give us some more space. He asked if he could get us any more tea, or maybe a coffee. He had such a warm manner. This review would have been worse if it had not been fro Gavin and the two young ladies.

Recently refurbished and lovely rooms which are generously proportioned. Nice grounds which are well worth a walk around and the kitchen walled garden is defiantly worth a visit. Outstanding staff are the highlight of this hotel, they make the hotel exceptional

I was gifted a champagne afternoon tea for two as a retirement gift. I can honestly say, it was amazing! From the greeting at the Hotel entrance to the time we left, the staff were lovely. Friendly but not hovering, so you didn't feel rushed. The selection of sandwiches was great, we had cucumber, smoked salmon, chicken and tarragon and egg mayo. Plain and fruit scones ( obviously cream and jam!), and a selection of cakes. One was Bombay Sapphire gin and rhubarb, I tried to steal my husbands one as well but he beat me to it!. I had assam tea, husband had coffee and we had a lovely glass of bubbles. Two hours of bliss, I would totally recommend.

We paid for this afternoon tea as a treat for a friend who was celebrating a birthday. The surroundings are stunning but for the price I thought the afternoon tea was poor. I called the hotel before we visited to ask if they could do anything special for our friend and they confirmed that they would decorate a plate with the words @Happy Birthday and put her name on it...sadly this didn't happen !! Although the staff were very friendly, no one asked us if we wanted more tea so we had to ask before we received any. We were also not given instructions on dealing with the infusions so this ended in really bitter tea which was not pleasant at all. To charge £10 for a glass of prosecco seems very steep !! I have had better afternoon teas from garden centres so would not recommend this hotel as I am sure you could find better value for money elsewhere. You only have one chance to make first impression and they failed !!
