We booked two nights in this hotel through our agency in Belgium. Big mistake…Let me list some of the holiday ruining experiences: 1) from the moment one enters through the glass door into the patio, a non pleasant smell can be detected. One senses that very few people pass through this door. The patio is rather dimly lit and the atmosphere is frankly unwelcoming. For the check in, one is asked to sit on a table with the hotel manager and besides the formalities, a document needs to be signed with some housekeeping rules and disclaimers from the hotel in case of theft. A specific rule on the guests’ obligation to wash one’s dishes is highlighted. This all felt very patronizing. 2) if one stays in (one of the) ‘villas’, the message is conveyed that taxi trips are needed to get there. Beware, as the hotel manager will try to incur costs for transport to the guests. She tried with us twice 3) ‘villa’ was 10min drive from the hotel. At arrival, we found the same unpleasant smell inside. 4) breakfast (unfortunately included) requires guests to call the hotel manager in order to allow her to arrange for a taxi. Be prepared for having 30min to schedule for the operation. Worst breakfast ever seen in my life: eggs with a cheap saucage (the kind that can be found in a can), bread straight out of a plastic bag from the super market, no other choice than coffee or thee and this also counts for kids, one cup of yoghurt to share with 4 people. If one asks for more, or an alternative that every self respecting hotel would offer, one gets the standard answer ‘for this, a supplement needs to be paid’. 5) Early check out: negotiation needed to get a (paid!) breakfast to go
