If you want locking doors, don't stay here! Checked in and noticed door to balcony did not lock and would not shut completely, tv broken (which my husband fixed) and light bulb burned out. Went to front desk and lady said they would get lock fixed and replace lightbulb. Left for a few hours and on our return to our room nothing was fixed. Went back to the front desk and was told maintenance was gone and she couldn't fix lock herself and handed me a lightbulb. She did offer to put us in a bottom floor room, but when booking (done over phone direct with motel), we told them we had to have upper floor due to allergies: mold and mildew. We declined that room and told her we did not feel safe and was very disappointed. She offered no refund or compensation. We left to get some dinner, but decided we had to leave. We did not feel safe staying at this hotel. Also, main door to the room had loose door knob and extra lock on door was a small cheap chain. When we told the front desk we were checking out, she then offered a different room on the upper floor that became available cause someone else left. (Wonder why they left!) I had already made arrangements with another hotel and said it was too late. It was now after 7pm and we had given them plenty of time to fix the problems. Side note - They leave the back door to building open 24 hours so ANYONE can come and go. Room overlooked a metal recycling dump. It's non-smoking, but they provide ashtray on balcony. Our room did not look like pictures online; very dark and worn. We were polite to front desk and reached out to hotel twice since being home asking for a refund or any compensation I am sorry but a non-locking door is a deal breaker, especially when back door to hotel is open 24hrs! Got the answer "NO. They offered us a different room."
